Marvel Rivals’ brand new patch promises to bring tons of new features from Twitch Drops, key bug fixes, and of course, a few buffs and nerfs to your favorite characters.
One of the best things about Marvel Rivals is that it’s forever changing, with every new character, we get new ways to play, and with every update, we see changes to those overpowered fighters or the ones that struggle to be seen, or win a match.
The March 13 patch is no different, with plenty of heroes seeing changes, as well as a few surprising buffs to already deadly characters.
Marvel Rivals March 13 update sees major changes to heroes
Cloak and Dagger

Cloak and Dagger have received a small buff to their Lightforce Dagger, which increases the healing effect on hit allies from 10 to 16. However, they’ve also seen a reduction to the spell field healing amount generated by that hit, reducing it from 18 to 16.
So overall, it’s really just a case of balancing for the Strategist heroes, meaning they’re unlikely to move from their S-tier ranking.
Their changes have been listed below:
- Increase the healing effect from Lightforce Dagger on hit allies from 10 to 16; Reduce the spell field healing amount generated by the hit from 18 to 16.
Human Torch
Human Torch is one of the most overpowered characters in Marvel Rivals right now, sitting comfortably at the top of our tier list and dominating most matches he’s in. Interestingly, despite this, he’s received even more buffs in the March 13 patch.
His Fire Cluster projectile speed has increased from 120m/s to 150m/s and his count for this has increased to 14, where it was previously 12. He has had a slight nerf to his ultimate, with the energy cost of Supernova increasing to 4,000 from 3,400 but the damage from his activation wave has gone up from 70 to 80. Lastly, his Flame Tornado damage will now be 120 per second, instead of 100 per second.

Iron Man

Iron Man sits at A-tier on our tier list currently but could shift after these nerfs. His Repulsor Blast stage 1 and 2 direct hit damage has been reduced from 55 to 50, and his stage 3 damage has gone from 50 to 65. That being said, the spell field damage for both of these has gone up from 35 to 50 for the stage 1 and 2, and from 40 to 60 for stage 3.
He’s also seen a damage decrease from 55 to 50 for his Repulsor Blast (Armor Overdrive), but with an increase in spell field damage to 65 from 55. Of course, these feel like minor balancing adjustments, though it could change the way you play, given the damage changes.
