47. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (2025)

What it’s about: Hideo Kojima’s sequel sees Norman Reedus’ Sam Porter Bridges travel across Mexico and Australia to rebuild the Chiral Network and save humanity from extinction.
Why we like it: This is Kojima at his weird and wonderful best. Although very much a Death Stranding game, On the Beach is more accessible with better combat, pacing, and a tighter narrative. Alongside a sublime story, it has near-limitless gameplay opportunities that’ll keep you coming back long after the credits roll.
With impeccable visuals, writing, performances, sound design, and (most importantly) gameplay, it’s a testament to what video games can achieve. Check out our full review for more.
