Our 6 LCK Spring 2024 Playoffs teams have been determined, and they’ll be heading into the post-season to figure out who gets to go to MSI. Catch up onthe LCK action here.
With T1 having taken home the Worlds 2023 title with a decisive win, you’d think that the LCK has maintained its position as the absolute strongest region in the world.
However, that’d require you to erase a year that was, in all other regards, dominated by the LPL. BLG, Weibo Gaming, LNG, JDG, and many other LPL teams had a very strong 2023 showing and have carried that strength into the 2024 season. Not to mention rising LPL stars like FPX’s Milkyway.
What’s more, the level of competition within the LCS has gone up considerably, and G2 are still dominating Europe as the definitive best team in the region. Though we’ll have to wait for MSI to see how teams from these regions stack up, there’s a chance they give LCK teams a run for their money.
Colin Young-Wolff/Riot Games
All that said, the LCK is looking scary this year. Hanwha Life Esports looked strong enough to contend for an international title, and yet they still look weaker than T1 and Gen.G who will be facing off in the Finals.
Here’s everything you need to know about the LCK 2024 Spring split including the full match schedule, results, the teams and their full rosters, & the livestream.
For our fifth T1 vs Gen.G LCK Finals in a row, T1’s path there wasn’t so clear. DDoS attacks really crippled the team’s ability to practice, pushing them down to the lower bracket early on. However, they’ve come back and are looking like the only team that can hold a candle to Gen.G’s seemingly unstoppable roster.
The top two LCK teams have booked a ticket to MSI 2024, but there’s a new catch to MSI this year: The team that wins gets a guaranteed trip to Worlds 2024 as long as they make it to Playoffs in Summer. There’s more than just a trophy and some bragging rights up for grabs this year.

DDoS attacks
During Week 6, the LCK was forced to move to playing matches offline and pre-recording them due to various DDoS attacks affecting stage matches.
Players were consistently complaining of latency issues, resulting in hours upon hours worth of pauses over the course of single sets. It’s been a rough time for the LCK leading up to the league’s tough decision to cancel in-person matches for the foreseeable future.
LCK officials have been tight-lipped on details as to how close they are to finding the people DDoSing these matches, likely due to a desire not to tip off these offenders.
Fortunately, the LCK has been able to return to live broadcasts with additional countermeasures for these DDoS attacks, though they haven’t bee able to do so with an in-person audience just yet. The schedule has also been reverted to what it was before the pre-recorded matches.
It isn’t clear when the live audience will return at this time, but LCK officials have made it clear that they have no plans to cease operations within the league despite these DDoS attacks.
LCK Spring 2024 Regular Season standings
Only the top 6 LCK teams make it to the Playoffs to fight for a chance at going to MSI, and the top 2 teams get a guaranteed spot in round 2.
