Kick streamers LordHito and GaganTV found themselves on the receiving end of a violent attack after Japanese locals struck them with glass bottles, captured during a live broadcast.
Quite a few streamers are traveling in Japan as of February 2025, including the likes of Twitch star Mizkif and Kick personality Ice Poseidon.
However, while Mizkif’s travels in the country have been met with praise, select broadcasters from Kick have gotten a decidedly negative reception in comparison.
For instance, Ice Poseidon drew the ire of Japanese locals after fighting with his friend on public transport and urging a Japanese woman to insult the Yakuza in English. Eventually, he was confronted by police officers while broadcasting himself eating an orange.

In response, Japanese locals have started taking action against these streamers, even posting a ‘wanted list’ with their names and faces — and now, things are getting physical.
Kick streamers attacked after argument with Japanese locals
On February 15, Kick streamers LordHito and GaganTV were eating at a restaurant in Sapporo, Japan when they walked into a bar nearby. The duo spoke with a woman they’d met beforehand and two other men in what appeared to be a friendly and playful conversation at first.
At one point, two other men approached the streamers, with one grabbing at GaganTV’s phone twice. An argument broke out shortly thereafter, and an employee ushered them out of the door.
Angry at the situation that had unfolded, GaganTV vented his frustration as he and Hito walked away, while Hito himself was left confused.

It appears that the individual in all gray works there. He can be seen behind the bar.

“What the f**k just happened?” he asked as they walked down the snowy sidewalk.
Just a few moments later, one of the angry patrons from the bar approached them, shouting and holding a bottle. He lunged at Hito and then set his sights on GaganTV, swinging the bottle at him in the middle of the street as another man joined in.
Despite Hito’s pleas to leave them alone, the patron continued to follow the streamers as they fled, shouting at Hito repeatedly and grabbing at him. The altercation lasted for several minutes before Hito was able to make his escape, eventually finding a place to hide out and call an Uber.
After the men were through pursuing LordHito, they once again turned on Gagan before stealing his phone and taking it back to the bar.
Hito posted his side of the story in a string of tweets, claiming that the woman at the bar was flirting with GaganTV — something he says the Japanese bartenders didn’t like.
“I believe the Japanese bartenders did not like a foreigner getting all the attention from a Japanese girl and started to press him. Not me,” he wrote.
“I didn’t even talk to the girl or get involved in any way. I was just chilling behind my streaming buddy. Knowing the Japanese rules, I didn’t even fight back and was just trying to get away from that situation, even knowing I didn’t do anything wrong. That’s all there is to it.”
GaganTV also posted a statement on X, where he recounted the events of the evening and maintained that he hadn’t exhibited any disrespectful or escalating behavior to warrant the attack.
“Unexpectedly, a bar staff member—who had no part in our conversation—grabbed my phone. Recognizing the hostile environment that was unfolding, my friend and I decided to leave the bar in order to de-escalate the situation,” he explained.
“I’m sharing this account to set the record straight: I did nothing to provoke this assault. No one should have to endure violence simply for trying to enjoy a night out.”
In his statement, Gagan also distanced himself from “nuisance” streamers that have become infamous in Asia for their negative behavior, such as Johnny Somali, who is currently awaiting trial in South Korea on a slew of charges due to his actions in the country.
This is just the latest in a string of such incidents that have occurred in Japan as more streamers broadcast their travels there, sparking a heated debate online that has even caught the attention of massive creators like PewDiePie, who notably condemned “nuisance” streamers for “ruining” Japan for other foreigners.
