Following in the footsteps of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Black Myth: Wukong, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is set to be an epic action-adventure game where players have to deal with warring factions, a mysterious illness, and, of course, plenty of monsters.
Get ready for some epic swordfights, tense boss battles, and an emotive story that splices real-world history with fantasy elements.
Release date
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will be released on July 24, 2025.
505 GamesThis follows the previous announcement during the October 17, 2024, Xbox Partner Preview, which revealed it would have a 2025 release.
What is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers?
You’ll play as Wuchang, a female pirate who awakens to amnesia in the final years of China’s Shu region, during the late Ming Dynasty.
From here, the pirate will go on a quest to regain her memories, while also trying to unravel and stop a phenomenon known as Feathering that is causing mutations around Shu.
In one of the trailers, we could see Wuchang fighting, parrying, and even burning different enemies. She also seems able to harness magical powers such as lightning and darkness, as well as being skilled with explosives.
As if that were not enough, she can even wield a vast array of incredible weapons, so players will have plenty of options to choose from.
Pre-orders & editions
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will have two different editions, both of which can be pre-ordered, offering a variety of bonuses for those who purchase before July 24, 2025.

Platforms
The studio has confirmed that Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will be released on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X|S.
Those with Game Pass will be able to enjoy the game too, as it will launch on the subscription service on day one.
Trailers
So far, three Wuchang: Fallen Feathers trailers have been released.
The first one was an announcement trailer revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2024.
The second one was displayed during the Xbox Partner Preview on October 17, 2024. It showed more details about the story, the characters, and even gameplay.
Then, on April 29, a pre-order trailer dropped, revealing a deeper look into the adventure and a boss fight with the Perfect Bride — Fang Ling.
