Rockstar Games trolls GTA 6 fans with new trailer and it’s not what anyone expected

GTA 6 fans have been eagerly awaiting Rockstar Games to finally reveal the game’s second trailer, but instead of learning more about Leonida, they got a romantic comedy instead.
Rockstar Games has been extremely quiet on all things GTA 6 ever since the first trailer debuted back in December of 2023.
While the studio’s parent company narrowed down GTA VI’s release window to Fall 2025, nothing else has been revealed about the long-awaited open-world game and the return to Vice City.
Well, on March 6, Rockstar Games uploaded a new trailer to its social media accounts, but it wasn’t for GTA 6. In fact, it wasn’t even for a game at all.
We got Rockstar Games posting a romantic comedy before GTA 6
In a post on X, Rockstar shared the trailer for an upcoming comedy film called Marching Powder.
The movie, starring Danny Dyer, is described as a “rom-com with a kick” about addiction, violence, and happy endings.
If this sounds like something Rockstar would post, well, there’s a good reason. As reported by Shortlist, Rockstar is listed as an executive producer on the film as they helped finance it.
Fans, meanwhile, were left accusing Rockstar of trolling them.

“Nah, they trolling us now,” dismissed another.

“You dropped the wrong trailer,” someone else joked.
Unfortunately, the wait for more news about Grand Theft Auto 6 is just going to keep on as usual as the countdown to Fall 2025 and VI’s release continues.
That said, GTA 6 fans think trailer 2 might arrive in late March if Take-Two decides to follow the same pattern with VI as it has with other games in its pipeline.
