GTA 6 soundtrack ‘leak’ goes viral but it’s not even real

A viral ‘tweet’ from Rockstar Games claiming to reveal part of the soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto 6 has been debunked after fans got excited.

For well over a year now, Rockstar Games have been silent on anything and everything GTA 6. They’ve left all the talking to their publisher, Take-Two, who remains confident that the game will be released in 2025.

Fans have been searching high and low for any potential hints on a second trailer and anything else they can get their hands on. That includes songs and DJs that might be used on the in-game radio stations.

Rapper T-Pain has teased his involvement, suggesting Rockstar won’t let him play on RP servers as a result. DJ Khaled has also been rumored to be involved with his own radio station as well.

No, the GTA 6 soundtrack hasn’t leaked

More recently, a photo of a supposed tweet from Rockstar Games has been doing the rounds. In the photo, there is a list of songs that are claimed to be the preview tunes for the long-awaited game.

The list includes the likes of Drake, Future, The Weekend, Nicki Minaj, and Tyler The Creator. If you think it reads like a fan’s wishlist, well, it pretty much is.

Despite it circling in different posts on X (formerly Twitter), the post hasn’t come from Rockstar. The Grand Theft Auto devs haven’t posted anything related to GTA since March 7.

The ‘tweet’ contains songs from popular artists like Tyler the Creator.

Others have claimed that the post was quickly deleted by Rockstar, but that didn’t happen either. They simply have not posted anything to do with GTA 6 since the reveal trailer at the end of 2023.

On top of that, the soundtrack will, no doubt, be a lot more diverse than what was posted in that image.

The only song that has been used in relation to GTA 6 so far is ‘Love is a Long Road’ by Tom Petty. Anything else and you can forget about it, for now.
