No different from every other entry, GTA 6 is set to feature all sorts of wild and wacky open-world activities. Thanks to a new look in Trailer 2, we’ve put together a comprehensive rundown of every confirmed sport, race, and mini-game so far.
While the main story is always enticing in any GTA game, it’s the vast open world and the often chaotic activities littered throughout that keep players coming back. GTA 6 is set to be no different, with a litany of unique gameplay experiences on offer.
Although we still haven’t seen a full second of in-character gameplay yet, cinematic shots of life in Leonida have revealed a great deal of information already. Be it the weapons we’ll be using, the vehicles we’ll be relying on, or the characters we’ll meet, there’s plenty to sift through.
Furthermore, we also now have a much better idea of what activities to expect when GTA 6 finally arrives on May 26, 2026. From hunting to deep-sea diving, below is an in-depth breakdown of every activity we’ve spotted thus far.
Amusement park

While not showcased in great detail, one particular shot in Trailer 2 revealed a massive Ferris Wheel near the heart of Leonida. Just below it are a number of other smaller venues as well, suggesting we’ll be able to visit this location, ride the Ferris Wheel, and engage with any other mini-games too.
Basketball

To the side of a new screenshot revealed on May 6, 2025, we got our first look at basketball courts in GTA 6. Five NPScs can be seen on the rooftop courts, with one shooting free throws while others observe from behind the rim.
Now, there’s no telling just how in-depth the basketball mini-game will go. It could just be free-throw shootouts, quick games of HORSE, or similar. There’s no guarantee we’ll be able to play proper pick-up games with multiple characters. Perhaps that’s something for GTA Online to expand on.
Vehicle races
The classic vehicle races are back in GTA 6, and there’s plenty of them. We’ve already got a glimpse of off-road racing on bikes and ATVs, along with on-road competitions too. No doubt, there’s sure to be a lot more, including jet skis, planes, and even bicycle races.
Cage fighting

A new addition for GTA 6 is a form of Mixed Martial Arts. At one point in Trailer 2, Lucia is seen whipping a high kick at a man in red shorts, all while in the confines of a steel cage. Although she’s not exactly dressed for the UFC, it appears hand-to-hand combat will be an optional activity for the sequel’s female protagonist.
Diving

After its introduction in GTA 5, diving is coming back in full force for GTA 6. You can grab scuba masks, flippers, and oxygen tanks before diving to the bottom of the sea and interacting with wildlife. Like before, perhaps there’s even some hidden treasures or mysteries awaiting under the surface.
Drinking
Dialing up the bravado to 11, plenty of alcohol is back on the menu in GTA 6. Numerous shots across the first two trailers featured prominent characters drinking at a few distinct locations, suggesting it’ll be a common activity throughout the game.
While not explicitly confirmed, it also appears clubbing will be accessible too, allowing you to dress up for a proper night on the town.
Exercising

Although not directly confirmed, comparing the first two trailers seems to reveal that bodily effects are back in for GTA 6. Much like in San Andreas, where working out would help CJ lose weight and gain muscle, the same system looks to be back once again in various forms. One such example shows Lucia in the gym hitting a punching bag with wrapped fists.
Fishing

Now there’s a chance this one is purely from a cinematic moment and not a fleshed-out activity, but if we know one thing about Rockstar, it’s that they like to over-deliver. So with that in mind, it’s entirely plausible there’s a fishing activity in GTA 6, as we’ve now seen Jason with a fishing rod in hand, catching some local creatures.
Hot Coffee

Trailer 2 featured a ton of physical activity. And after all, why not? Have you seen Lucia and Jason?
It’s a given that there will be plenty of opportunities to wind down with some intimate moments between the criminal duo.
Hunting
Hunting appears to be a big focus in GTA 6, with NPCs carrying out their own hunts in various locations. Some are more by the books, tracking and taking down a stag or two, but others appear to be criminal in nature, targeting endangered species or hauling off with valuable materials.
One particular screenshot showed police in hot pursuit of a hunter who tied three alligators to the back of their truck.
Kayaking

We got our first official look at kayaking in GTA 6 with the new screenshots, and this has all but confirmed standalone activities in the water vehicle. It could very well feature its own races, we could experience some guided tours, or there might be a few dangerous rapids to traverse. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Mini golf

While GTA 5 had a full-fledged golfing activity, this time around, mini-golf looks to be the focus instead. We know there’s at least one mini-golf park in Leonida, and there’s every chance we can interact with it for a bit of fun.
Pool

Trailer 2 also gave us our first look at a pool table in GTA 6, to no surprise. Pool has been a staple in recent GTA entries, so it’s no big shock to see it available in bars across Leonida.
Strip Clubs
Sure to be a popular activity once again, strip clubs are back in GTA 6 and they are everywhere. Some key characters seemingly frequent particular establishments, and early leaks even showed Jason walking around one.
Tennis

While we haven’t actually seen anything to suggest games of tennis will again be playable in GTA 6, we have spotted a tennis court in the background of a screenshot. Given most of the work was already done on GTA 5’s version, it’s entirely likely we’ll see tennis return in GTA 6.
Watching TV

One moment from GTA 6 Trailer 2 that’s catching plenty of attention across social media is a simple one of Jason watching TV from his home. Much like in GTA 5, it seems we’ll be able to kick back on the couch, flick through some channels, and watch mindless entertainment in the fictional town of Leonida.
Not only that, but fans were quick to spot a gaming console of sorts next to Jason’s TV, and a DualShock-looking controller on the table in front of it. It could just be set dressing, but there’s a possibility we may even be able to play some games inside of the game.
Weightlifting

We mentioned exercise earlier, and weightlifting certainly falls under the category, but rather than focusing on cardiovascular activity, weightlifting is all about muscle gain. There’s no telling just how ripped you can get in GTA 6, but if you put the work in and lift enough, your physical attributes will certainly be turning heads.
