Normal Attack: Royal Reed Archery

Normal Attack

  • Performs up to 3 consecutive shots with a bow.

Charged Attack

  • Performs a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG.
  • While aiming, the power of Electro will accumulate on the arrowhead before the arrow is fired. Has different effects based on how long the energy has been charged:
  • Charge Level 1: Fires off an arrow carrying the power of lightning that deals Electro DMG.
  • Charge Level 2: Fires off a Shadowpiercing Shot which can pierce enemies, dealing Electro DMG to enemies along its path. After the Shadowpiercing Shot is fully charged, Sethos cannot move around.

Plunging Attack

  • Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Elemental Skill: Ancient Rite – The Thundering Sands

Gathers the might of thunder, dealing AoE Electro DMG and quickly retreating. If this attack triggers Electro-Charged, Superconduct, Overloaded, Quicken, Aggravate, or Electro Swirl reactions, Sethos recovers a certain amount of Elemental Energy.

Elemental Burst: Secret Rite – Twilight Shadowpiercer

Perform a secret rite, entering the “Twilight Meditation” state, during which Sethos’s Normal Attacks will be converted into enemy-piercing Dusk Bolts: Deal Electro DMG to opponents in its path, with DMG increased based on Sethos’s Elemental Mastery.

Sethos cannot perform Aimed Shots while in this state. DMG dealt by Dusk Bolts is considered Charged Attack DMG. This effect will be canceled when Sethos leaves the field.

Passive Skills

Reflected Revelation

Displays the location of nearby resources unique to Sumeru on the mini-map.

Black Kite’s Enigma

When Aiming, the charging time is decreased by 0.285s based on each point of Sethos’s current Elemental Energy that is not over 20. Charging time can be reduced to a minimum of 0.3s through this method. If a Shadowpiercing Shot is fired, consume the corresponding amount of Elemental Energy; if it is a Charge Level 1 shot, then consume 50% of the corresponding amount of Elemental Energy.

The Scorching Sandshade effect will be canceled when any of the following conditions are met:

  • 5s after a Shadowpiercing Shot first hits an opponent.
  • After 4 Shadowpiercing Shots strike opponents.

When a Shadowpiercing Shot affected by Scorching Sandshade first hits an opponent, Sethos will regain Scorching Sandshade after 15s.

Best weapons for Sethos in Genshin Impact

The best weapon for Sethos in Genshin Impact is the 5-star option Hunter’s Path. This Bow will grant Sethos a 12% Elemental DMG bonus in addition to increasing his Charged Attack DMG by 160% of his Elemental Mastery. This is perfect for Sethos based on his kit scaling on Elemental Mastery and reliance on Charged Shots.

If you don’t have Hunter’s Path, another 5-star option is The First Great Magic to increase Charged Attack DMG by 16%. Lastly, an efficient 4-star weapon is Cloudforged to improve Elemental Mastery after using Elemental Energy.

Best Artifacts for Sethos in Genshin Impact

You could run the 4-piece Wanderer’s Troupe or 4-piece Gilded Dreams to maximize Sethos’s potential. I suggest going for the former if you want to increase the power of Sethos’s Charged Attacks greatly.

On the other hand, you can buff both ATK and Elemental Mastery by going with the 4-piece Gilded Dreams for each member whose Elemental Type is the same as Sethos.

Sethos in Genshin Impact needs Teachings of Praxis and its upgrades, Daka’s Bell and Faded Red Satin, and its upgrades for his talents. The exact number of materials you need are as follows:

Sethos Talent and Constellation priority in Genshin Impact

Talent priority

  • Normal Attack
  • Elemental Burst
  • Elemental Skill

You must prioritize leveling up Sethos’s Normal Attack to deal some serious damage with his Level 2 Charged Shots.

Constellation priority

  • C2
  • C6

We suggest pulling for Sethos’s second and sixth Constellation if you want to maximize his potential. Sethos’s sixth Constellation is his best, considering its Elemental Energy generation after his Aimed Shots.

Sethos Pros and Cons in Genshin Impact

Should you pull for Sethos in Genshin Impact?

Sethos isn’t a necessity for anyone’s team in Genshin Impact. There are much better 5-star Electro characters, such as Yae Miko and Raiden Shogun. Still, you may pull Sethos while trying to add Clorinde to your roster.

Best Sethos team in Genshin Impact

Sethos performs well on teams focused on Aggravate or Hyperbloom Elemental Reactions. For Aggravate, we suggest running him alongside Fischl, Nahida, and Kazuha. This will guarantee Electro application that efficiently works with his Charged Attacks.

As for Hyperbloom, we recommend the same setup except for switching Kazuha to Xingqiu. Instead of Charged Attacks, this focuses on Sethos’s Normal Attack playstyle. If you’d like, you can also replace Fischl with Raiden Shogun.
