Best Collei Genshin Impact build: Artifacts, weapons, more

Collei looking at boomerang in Genshin Impact closeup

Collei was one of the first 4-star Dendro characters Genshin Impact introduced to the game. Here are our recommended Artifacts, weapons, and more for Collei.

Collei initially suffered as a victim of Fatui human experimentation before meeting Amber in Mondstadt. She later joined the Sumeru region’s group of Forest Rangers in the Avidya Forest, looking up to 5-star Dendro unit Tighnari as a mentor.

In terms of combat, Collei excels at triggering Dendro-related Elemental Reactions with her Elemental Skill and largely relies on her Elemental Burst for damage.

Collei abilities in Genshin Impact

Collei firing bow in Genshin Impact

Normal Attack: Supplicant’s Bowmanship

  • Normal Attack: Perform up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow.
  • Charged Attack: Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG. While aiming, Dendro energy will accumulate on the arrowhead. A fully charged arrow will deal Dendro DMG.
  • Plunging Attack: Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Elemental Skill: Floral Brush

Throws out a Floral Ring that deals 1 instance of Dendro DMG to opponents along the path. The Floral Ring will return after a set time, dealing Dendro DMG once again.

Elemental Burst: Trump-Card Kitty

Trusty Cuilein-Anbar comes to save the day! Throws the doll named Cuilein-Anbar, causing an explosion that deals AoE Dendro DMG, creating a Cuilein-Anbar Zone. Cuilein-Anbar will bound around within this zone, dealing AoE Dendro DMG.

Collei Constellations in Genshin Impact

Collei Constellations in Genshin Impact

If you manage to pull multiple copies of Collei, here are the expected buffs from her Constellations:

  • Level One – Deepwood Patrol: When in the party and not on the field, Collei’s Energy Recharge is increased by 20%
  • Level Two – Through Hill and Copse: The Floral Ring will grant the character the Sprout effect from Floral Sidewinder upon return, dealing 40% of Collei’s ATK as Dendro DMG to nearby opponents for 3 seconds. From the moment of using Floral Brush to the moment when this instance of Sprout effect ends, if any of your party members triggers Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon reactions, the Sprout effect will be extended by 3 seconds.
    • The Sprout effect can only be extended this way once. If another Sprout effect is triggered during its initial duration, the initial effect will be removed. Requires you to have the Floral Sidewinder Passive Talent.
  • Level Three – Scent of Summer: Increases the Level of Floral Brush by 3
  • Level Four – Gift of the Woods: Using Trump-Card Kitty will increase all nearby characters’ Elemental Mastery by 60 for 12 seconds excluding Collei.
  • Level Five – All Embers: Increases the Level of Trump-Card Kitty by 3.
  • Level Six – Forest of Falling Arrows: When the Floral Ring hits opponents, it will create a miniature Cuilein-Anbar that will deal 200% of Collei’s ATK as Dendro DMG. Each Floral Brush can only create one such miniature Cullein-Anbar.

Best Collei Artifacts in Genshin Impact

We recommend running the 4-piece Deepwood Memories set on Collei to increase her Dendro DMG Bonus. The 4-piece set will also decrease an opponent’s Dendro RES by 30% for eight seconds after hitting them with an Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst.

If you want to buff your party’s ATK, we suggest placing the 4-piece Noblesse Oblige Artifacts on Collei to improve her Elemental Burst DMG. This will be helpful, considering Collei’s kit largely revolves around using her Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill instead of Normal Attacks.

Best Collei weapons in Genshin Impact

The best weapon for Collei is the 5-star option Polar Star for its increased Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG. Considering this is the focus of Collei’s kit, Polar Star is a great choice that can also improve her ATK based on the stacks of Ashen Nightstar.

Alternatively, you could run the 5-star Bow Aqua Simulacra if you want to improve Collei’s HP and DMG dealt to opponents at the same time. This effect will trigger even if Collei isn’t on the field.

Since 5-star weapons aren’t easily attainable, we recommend running the 4-star Favonius Warbow. This Bow will have a chance to create Elemental Particles that restore energy after attacking an enemy with a critical hit.

Best Collei team comp in Genshin Impact

An image of Tighnari in Genshin Impact.

The best team composition consisting of Collei focuses on the Quicken Elemental Reaction. Therefore, we recommend running her alongside Tighnari, Fischl, and Kuki Shinobu. Fischl, Collei, and Kuki Shinobu will combine their ability to deal off-field damage to maintain enemies’ Quicken status.

Then, Tighnari will be able to take advantage of this situation by dealing Spread damage with his excellent Charged Attacks. You could also replace Fischl with Yae Miko if you wish to do so, considering they both have off-field abilities.
