The first Splitgate was a hit, combining the fast-paced arena action of Halo with the strategy of Portal, and the sequel, Splitgate 2, has arrived in Open Beta, but server issues disrupted the launch.
This beta is essentially the game’s release, as it’ll stay live right up until the official launch in the near future, and you’ll keep all your progression.
However, server issues meant that players haven’t been able to find games, and the servers were taken down. The devs dropped several fixes over the launch weekend, so here are all the latest updates on Splitgate 2’s server status.
Splitgate 2 beta server status
The Splitgate 2 servers are up and running. They were shut down May 22 after players couldn’t load into games, but following tests and fixes over the weekend, servers are live.
However, they started with a limited number of servers and have been steadily opening more, so you may experience a short queue.
The devs have now shifted their focus to issues preventing players from getting XP and claiming their store purchases and Twitch Drops. As of 4.30 PM PT on May 25, they have begun rolling out these fixes.
“These are rolling out in real time so some players will already have received the fixes, while others will get them soon,” said Brodrian, 1047 Studios’ community manager. “Once it is finished for everyone, we will share a more detailed update, but wanted to let you know where we are at right now.”
