This is why Split Fiction fans think Mio and Zoe sound so familiar

Split Fiction introduces two brand new characters into the cooperative world of Hazelight Studios’ and Josef Fares’ franchise – and this is exactly why you recognise both Mio and Zoe.

After achieving Game of The Year back in 2021 for its stellar game, It Takes Two, Fares and Hazelight Studios are finally back, bringing the classic co-op design into the world of fantasy and science fiction, after an unwilling experiment forces them to live through the events of their own stories in an attempt to stop a games company from stealing their ideas.

Mio and Zoe, the two protagonists, must be played by two different players, one is colder and more shut off from trusting and her own emotions, and the other is extremely trusting and usually pretty joyful (we’ll let you decide who wants to play who). However, if you’ve dived into the game with a friend and are struggling to place both characters, here’s who plays them.

Who voices Mio and Zoe in Split Fiction?

Kaja Chan plays Mio and Elsie Bennett plays Zoe in Split Fiction.

Mio Split Fiction

Mio is a closed off, hesitant character who primarily just wants to get out of the simulation she’s found herself trapped in. She’s the one who initially attempts to escape the game studio in the first place, causing them to be trapped together in the first place.

For those that recognise her voice, Kaja Chan has starred in multiple video games and TV shows. Though her most popular credit is down to her appearance as Miss Weston in Bridgerton and Mei Mei in the TV show, 1899. Aside from those, she’s been in Cyberpunk 2077 and played both Soa in Foamstars, and Valby in The First Descendant.

As for Elsie Bennett, the voice of much more bubbly, and perhaps a little too trusting Zoe, you’ll recognise her for her role as Kariel Seldon in Foundation if you’re a TV show fan.

Or, if you prefer video games, then she voices Touch in Arknights, Imogen Royce in Hitman III, and various voices in Control, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and both Hitman 1, 2, and 3.

Of course, there’s tons of TV show and video game easter eggs scattered throughout Split Fiction, and who knows there may be one hinting towards the voice actors’ previous gigs.
