Gameplay and setting

We got to go hands-on with Pragmata during Summer Game Fest and it blew us away. From the delightful yet challenging combat to the relationship between Hugh and Diana, there’s a lot to wrap your head around.

Hacking is at the core of the gameplay experience, as each robot enemy has a layer of armor that needs to be disabled before damage can be done. Diana is in control here as you engage in a quick mini-game. Then, Hugh takes control, firing his weapons while targeting weak points.

As for the setting, the game takes place at a lunar research station. The base is in the midst of researching a new material that could revolutionize 3D printing. Naturally, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows here though.

Humans have seemingly vanished so by the time our journey begins, it’s only AI running amok.

That’s everything we know about Pragmata for now but with further information just around the corner, we’ll be sure to update you here as new details emerge.
