Monster Hunter Wilds is at its best when played online with a squad of fellow hunters – but are the servers live, or are they undergoing maintenance? Here’s what you need to know.
While Monster Hunter Wilds can be played solo and offline, part of the series’ draw is to partner up with other players and hunt together. Seeing other players populate the world, hang out with their Palicos, and coming to back you up in battles can also be thrilling, so naturally, when servers go down, this can be disappointing.
However, all online games, including the Monster Hunter series, require server maintenance from time to time, and MH Wilds is no exception. Outages are another possibility and something every game has on occasion. So below, we’ll keep track of whether the Monster Hunter Wilds servers are active or if they’re down for any reason.
We’ll also keep track of any future scheduled maintenance as and when that information becomes available. This way, if servers are going down, you’ll know ahead of time.
Are servers down right now?
The servers for Monster Hunter Wilds are currently active, with no issues reported.
Some players are seeing errors when they start the game, but this is unrelated to the servers and is its own issue. The good news is that there’s also a fix for this bug.
Players were seeing the error message: “C1152-TJJ-BCNT – Unable to connect to the server”. However, this was a PSN issue and has since been fully resolved.
Schedueled maintenance
There is currently no scheduled server maintenance for Monster Hunter Wilds. However, when some is planned, we’ll be sure to confirm when it will be here.
As the game has only just released, there’s bound to be some eventually as Capcom works to fix any errors or bugs that get reported.
So now that you know if the Monster Hunter Wilds is functional – or not – if you’re jumping into this bottomless adventure, here’s where to find every mantle, how to upgrade your gear, and every monster’s weaknesses.
