CapcomMonster Hunter Wilds players have banded together before the game’s launch to unlock a useful free reward, courtesy of a Capcom challenge.
Monster Hunter Wilds is nearly upon us, and it’s shaping up to be a genuine Game of the Year contender. Our 4/5 review calls the game a “triumphant culmination of mechanics, monsters, and ideas that have been masterfully forged from 21 years of collective knowledge and experience”.
Capcom has some surprises in store for players jumping in at launch, including some handy Twitch Drops for those who get in fast enough. Of course, if you’re not keen on watching hours of Twitch content, there is a free reward that all players can get ahold of with minimal fuss.
Back on February 17, 2025, Capcom gave prospective Monster Hunter Wilds players a challenge to repost one of their posts on X in order to be rewarded with in-game Armor Spheres. Players rose to the occasion, and thanks to their 100,000 reposts, you’ll be able to claim 100 free Armor Spheres when you start playing the game.

Armor Spheres are a useful crafting material from the Monster Hunter franchise. You can use them to upgrade your armor and raise its defensive value. This is especially handy for newcomers to the franchise because the ability to take a few extra hits is often the difference between success and failure on a hunt.
100 of them should be enough to max out the sturdiness of your favorite armor set, so you’ll definitely want to grab them. Capcom hasn’t confirmed exactly how to get ahold of them in game, but based on previous entries in the series, we have an idea.
In Monster Hunter World, items like this could be collected by visiting the Housekeeper NPC in your room and selecting the ‘Claim Add-Ons and Bonuses’ option. Monster Hunter Rise had Senri the Mailman, who served a similar function.
Presumably, Monster Hunter Wilds will have a comparable NPC that you can speak to for all your additional content needs. We’ll be sure to update readers with exact instructions on how to claim these 100 free Armor Spheres.
It may be tempting to use them early on, but you tend to be swapping armor quite frequently at the start of your journey. We recommend saving these items for the late game when you’ve settled on an armor set with skills that complement your build. You will earn more Armor Spheres throughout your playthrough, but this serves as an easy boost in your hunting efficiency.
