Monster Hunter Wilds event quests are trying to fix the game’s most annoying issue

If you’ve been busy adventuring through Monster Hunter Wilds, then you’ll know just how tricky it is to get Cooking Ingredients. Well, one MH Wilds event quest changes that, and you can do it right now.

Cooking Ingredients are rather scarce in Monster Hunter Wilds, as players need to trade resources for them with the local villagers. While the Meowscular Chef may no longer be present, cooking a well-rounded meal is still incredibly important.

Not only does it boost your health and stamina bar, but using ingredients can provide your Hunter with significant buffs to their damage and defense. This essentially makes them vital for taking down Wilds’ toughest foes like the Tempered Guardian Rathalos.

However, getting the resources needed to trade for these flavorful items can be rather time-consuming, meaning you’ll need to spend time gathering instead of testing out your latest greatest Long Sword.

Well, Capcom has alleviated this dull grind, thanks to a new Monster Hunter Wilds event quest that puts its most popular ingredient back on the menu.

Monster Hunter Wilds event quests are here

From March 5, 2025, until March 11, 2025, Hunters who have managed to reach HR 9 will be able to take on the Stalking Supper event quest. This limited-time mission pits you against the fiery chicken, Quematrice.

You’ll need to get through Low Rank and roll the credits before you can take part in the new hunt, but it’s well worth grinding through the Monster Hunter Wilds’ chapters. After all, Hunters who successfully slay this feathery fiend will be rewarded with a powerful cooking ingredient – Kunafa Cheese.

Cheese?! I hear you cry, yes, cheese. When selected as an additional cooking ingredient, Kunafa Cheese will reward you with the Defender Meal (Lo) Food Skill, which sometimes decreases damage taken from monster attacks.

The Stalking Supper event quest is a great way to stock up on Kunafa Cheese.

This is particularly useful for every player who wants to raise their defense without wasting Armor Spheres on their current armor set. Kunafa Cheese is usually obtained from Kilama at Windsong Village, but you’ll need to be prepared to trade Fine Windward Aloe to get it.

Fortunately, the latest Monster Hunter Wilds event quest cuts out the middleman and allows Hunters to get as much Kunafa Cheese without the need to spend hours trekking around the Windward Plains. Just be sure to pack your strongest Water element weapons and farm as many Quematrice as you can before the event ends on March 11, 2025.
