Summer Game Fest 2025

Summer Game Fest 2025 has come and gone, and as always, there are plenty of exciting game announcements to dive into.

If you missed the live event, don’t worry: we’ve got a full recap of everything revealed during this year’s showcase. From highly anticipated sequels to unexpected surprises, Summer Game Fest delivered a fantastic blend of fan favorites, fresh new titles, and in-depth gameplay previews.

Here’s every game featured at Summer Game Fest 2025.

Mortal Shell 2

Mortal Shell 2 was the first trailer shown in the main Summer Game Fest event.

We’ve known the original built a cult following with its punishing combat and eerie vibe, but this new showcase cranked everything up. The trailer was brutal: twisted bosses, heavier gore, and some seriously wild weapons.

It’s still very much a Soulslike, but with even more style and aggression. While rumors have been swirling for ages, this was our first real look, and yep, it’s official: Mortal Shell 2 is coming in 2026.

Death Stranding 2 Lucy & Neil scene

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach showed up at Summer Game Fest 2025, and while it wasn’t the loudest trailer of the show, it hit deep.

We got a closer look at Lucy and Neil, played by Alissa Jung and Luca Marinelli, in a quiet, emotional scene that felt heavy with mystery and meaning. No flashy action this time, just a cinematic, cryptic scene dripping with tension.

Kojima also shared a few more story hints about their roles, but kept things vague, of course. We’re still set for launch on June 26, 2025, exclusively on PS5.

Chronicles Medieval

Chronicles Medieval made a strong debut at the showcase, and it’s already turning heads.

With Tom Hardy lending his voice and Raw Power Games behind the wheel, this one’s aiming high. Set in a gritty medieval world, the trailer gave us sweeping shots of massive battles with clashing armies, cavalry charges, and chaos everywhere.

The graphics were stunning. It also hinted at a dramatic, character-driven story, which looks like it’ll dig deeper than your average strategy war sim.

It’s headed to early access sometime in 2026.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds showed off more of its wild, dimension-hopping madness at Summer Game Fest, and it’s as chaotic as it sounds.

We already knew it was bringing back transforming karts and Extreme Gear, but the latest trailer confirmed some surprise guest racers: Joker from Persona 5, Hatsune Miku, and even Kazuma Kiryu from Yakuza.

The CrossWorlds mechanic warps tracks mid-race, so one second you’re on a beach, the next you’re drifting through cyberspace. It’s fast, flashy, and packed with variety. It’s coming out on September 25, 2025.

Code Vein 2

After years of speculation, Code Vein 2 finally made a surprise appearance at Summer Game Fest.

The trailer gave us a first look at our returning (and still extremely cool) protagonists in a flurry of fast-paced, anime-style combat, complete with flashy abilities and massive weapons.

The world looks just as bleak and beautiful as ever, with hints at even deeper lore and higher stakes. While Bandai Namco didn’t drop a release date, they confirmed it’s targeting 2026.

End of Abyss

Section 9’s upcoming game made a brief but seriously moody debut at Summer Game Fest, and it’s already giving off “dark sleeper hit” vibes.

It’s a top-down sci-fi action game where you’re blasting through swarms of creepy, crawly enemies in dimly lit corridors.

The visuals are sharp and eerie, thanks to Unreal Engine 5, and the combat looks fast and brutal.

Made by ex-Little Nightmares devs, it’s clear this one’s aiming for tight, intense design. No date locked in yet, but it’s coming in 2026.

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros finally showed its hand at Summer Game Fest, and it’s looking like a must-play for fans.

While we’ve known for a while that it’s a classic strategy game set in the Seven Kingdoms, this new footage gave us a taste of the action: massive battles, strategic troop movement, and a killer 1v1 showdown between Jon Snow and a White Walker, which, spoiler, did not go in Jon’s favor.

Atomic Heart 2

Atomic Heart 2 was officially revealed at Summer Game Fest 2025, and the trailer did not hold back.

Packed with over-the-top action, bizarre enemy designs, and teases of an even wilder open world, it looks like Mundfish is doubling down on everything fans loved. The visuals are slick, the combat looks sharper, and there’s a lot of fan service packed in for returning players.

It’s coming to PC and consoles, though no date yet. And in a total curveball, they also announced The Cube: Atomic Universe, an MMO set in the same world. Yeah, it’s getting big.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Marvel Cosmic Invasion just dropped a brand-new trailer at Summer Game Fest, and it’s everything you’d want from a retro beat ’em up gone galactic.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Onimusha: Way of the Sword made a slick return at Summer Game Fest 2025 with a new trailer that showed off way more than we expected.

While the series is known for dark, moody settings, this footage surprised fans with bursts of color, vibrant Kyoto streets twisted by corruption, glowing Oni magic, and intense sword clashes.

We also got our first look at the game’s villain, who’s looking completely unhinged in the best way possible. The action is sharp, fast, and full of classic Onimusha flair. Still locked in for a 2026 release.

Felt That: Boxing

Felt That: Boxing just threw down a wild new trailer that’s hilarious and chaotic. Classic muppet-style puppets duking it out in the ring, only this time, you’re inside the fight with a first-person view that makes every slapstick punch feel up close and personal.

The goofy animations, over-the-top special moves, and puppet antics are on full display. Still no official release date or platform info yet.

In Deception We Trust: Killer Inn

In Deception We Trust: Killer Inn made its eerie debut at Summer Game Fest 2025, and it’s already giving off murder mystery vibes.

Set in a shadowy, atmospheric inn, the game pits players against each other as either unsuspecting guests or hidden killers. The trailer teased tense standoffs, suspicious glances, and some pretty gnarly takedowns, all wrapped in a stylish, dramatic tone.

Square Enix is publishing, and it’s leaning into social deduction with a darker, narrative edge. A closed beta is coming soon on Steam.

Arc Raiders release date trailer

Arc Raiders finally has a date: it’s landing on October 30, 2025.

The announcement came with a slick new trailer at Summer Game Fest 2025, showing off even more of its gritty retro-futuristic world and tense PvPvE action.

A new round of closed beta testing is scheduled for summer 2025, with sign-ups now open. While Funcom still hasn’t announced a final release date, the expanded beta and detailed showcase signal that the game is progressing steadily.

We also got a peek at the new characters, Cartethyia and Lupa. Both looked awesome in combat, with flashy animations and elemental effects that pop. Visually, the game just keeps getting better, and this update looks like it’s pushing things even further.

MIO: Memories in Orbit

At Summer Game Fest 2025, MIO: Memories in Orbit dropped a gorgeous new gameplay trailer. It’s as stylish as it is mysterious.

We already knew it’s a sci-fi metroidvania set on a broken-down spaceship called the Vessel, but this new footage gave us a better look at MIO’s slick platforming, fast-paced combat, and the eerie, overgrown tech vibes of the setting.

The trailer leaned into the game’s poetic, almost dreamlike tone, and it’s clear the art direction is doing some heavy lifting. There’s a free demo out now on Steam and Xbox, and the full game launches later in 2025.
