How to drop items in Schedule 1

Schedule 1 would have you believe you’re a full-blown underworld mogul, but with a hotbar full of random stuff, it can feel like you’re just some serial hoarder.

Between cooking up high-grade crystal meth and expanding your empire, your hotbar is going to fill up fast. Old seeds, extra skateboards, trash, and an overwhelming amount of used containers – you name it, you’ll hoard it.

Unfortunately, Hyland Point isn’t exactly running on a “Marie Kondo your inventory” system, so clearing out the clutter takes some know-how. If you’re looking to free up space, here’s what you need to know about dropping and selling items in the game.

How to discard items

First off, you can’t just drop items on the ground like some kind of litterbug. Instead, you have to discard them following the steps below:

1. Open your phone by pressing Tab. This will also bring up your Inventory.
2. Look at the bottom right corner of the Inventory screen – there’s a small red box labeled “Discard.”
3. Drag and drop any item into the Discard box.
4. The item will be permanently deleted after a short time. (So, uh, don’t accidentally throw away something valuable because you’re not getting it back.)

How to throw items away

Alternatively, you can throw items into trash bins located around the city and inside your various hideouts. To do this, just pick up the item with E on your keyboard and click on a trash can.

Not all items can be trashed, but disposable junk like empty containers and boxes can be tossed and processed for extra crash.

Can you sell items?

Bad news: No, you can’t sell regular items. The only thing you can sell in Schedule I is drugs.

However, trash compactors scattered around Hyland Point will pay you a tiny bit of money for garbage. So, if you’re feeling entrepreneurial, grab a Trash Grabber from Dan’s Hardware for $50, scoop up trash, and dump it into a compactor for a quick buck.
