FragPunk may allow you to completely change the rules, but you’re still (mostly) only as powerful as your weapon and skills. While we can’t help you with your skills (practice makes perfect) we can help with the best FragPunk gun tier list.
No hero shooter game is complete without a series of powerful weapons. Unlike Overwatch 2 or Marvel Rivals, however, you can select your favorite weapon despite the Lancer you main. While that allows for anyone to play to their strengths, not all guns were made the same.
So, to ensure you’re winning battles and selecting the strongest weapons in the game, here are the best guns in FragPunk.
Best FragPunk gun tier list
TIER | Guns |
---|---|
S | Fever, Discipline, Vicious, Resolver, Bad Moon-S, Meat Maker |
A | Mad Dog-S, Ghost Pepper, My Way, Highlife, Standard Blitzer, Smoker |
B | Bad Reputation, Boom Broom, Standard Striker, Burner, Clampdown |
C | Blaster, Cold Shoulder, Cure-All, Flasher |
Our tiers explained
- S: The best
- A: Very good
- B: There might be situations where these can perform well
- C: Best to avoid unless you find yourself drawn to them
Of course, the game is relatively new, and weapon powers are subject to change. If they do, then we’ll be updating this tier list, so be sure to bookmark this and check back after an update to see if your favorite weapon has dropped in power, or if one unexpected gun has risen to S-tier.
S-Tier guns in FragPunk
Fever

- Weapon type: Assault Rifle
Damage and Range | 0-10 M | 10 – 25 M | 25 – 60 M |
---|---|---|---|
Head | 91 | 83 | 75 |
Body | 35 | 32 | 29 |
Limb | 31 | 28 | 26 |
Fever is easily one of the best weapons in FragPunk. It’s an insanely high-damaging Assault Rifle that works fantastically in the hands of any Lancer, making it pretty versatile no matter your skill level. Combine that with the powerful damage from any distance and you have an exceptional gun no matter the situation.
Naturally, you’ll want to aim for the head as this is where Fever thrives (its body damage is actually lower than other AR options). Focusing on just headshots leaves Fever as the fastest-killing Assault Rifle in FragPunk, so it’s definitely worth picking up.
Discipline

- Weapon type: Assault Rifle
Damage and Range | 0-10 M | 10 – 25 M | 25 – 60 M |
---|---|---|---|
Head | 67 | 62 | 57 |
Body | 27 | 25 | 23 |
Limb | 24 | 22 | 20 |
Similar to Fever, Discipline is incredibly beginner-friendly. It’s easy to handle, works well on all Lancers, and can shred through enemies regardless of whether you aim for the head or body, though the head will offer better results. Sure, it doesn’t deal as much damage as its counterpart, but thanks to the fire rate, Discipline has the highest TTK of any gun in FragPunk.
So, if you’re not too versed in headshots, then Discipline is the weapon for you, whether that’s at long, mid, or close range.
Vicious

- Weapon type: Pistol
Damage and Range | 0-10 M | 10 – 25 M | 25 – 60 M |
---|---|---|---|
Head | 150 | 143 | 133 |
Body | 73 | 70 | 65 |
Limb | 65 | 63 | 58 |
If you’re looking for a deadly pistol to wield as a secondary weapon, then it has to be Vicious. This powerful gun can one-shot most Lancers if you aim for the head. If not, it’s a three-shot to the body, which is still incredibly impressive for a pistol.
Sure, you’ll need to aim carefully, but having Vicious as your secondary and using it at close range when you have no other choice is one powerful backup plan to have. Just practice your headshots and you’ll see a huge change in power.
Resolver

- Weapon type: Sniper Rifle
- Best Lancers: Serket and Hollowpoint
Damage and Range | 0-17 M | 17 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 300 | 260 |
Body | 150 | 130 |
Limb | 142 | 123 |
If you’re looking for a powerful Sniper Rifle, then Resolver is your best choice. It’s the strongest in its class by far and will take out enemies from range with ease, at least if you aim carefully and correctly. Resolver doesn’t have as high of a fire rate or ADS compared to the other in its class, Highlife, but it more than makes up for it in power.
For those who like to hold down a location and not move from it unless discovered, Resolver is the weapon for you in FragPunk.
Bad Moon-S

- Weapon type: Marksman Rifle
- Best Lancer: Kismet and Nitro
Damage and Range | 0-15 M | 15 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 108 | 96 |
Body | 45 | 40 |
Limb | 42 | 38 |
Technically, while it comes under Marksman Rifle, this Precision Sniper Rifle can do so much more than high damage at close range. In fact, it does pretty impressive damage up to 60 meters, provided you get the enemy in the head.
In comparison to its fellow Marksman Rifle, Bad Moon-S undeniably comes out on top, granting a faster ADS, fire rate, and bullet capacity. It’s essentially a deadly semi-auto rifle that works fantastically in any mid-range situation. It’s also got a silencer, for those that prefer to sneak.
Meat Maker

- Weapon type: Shotgun
Damage and Range | 0-10 M | 10 – 25 M | 25 – 60 M |
---|---|---|---|
Head | 25 x 11 | 18 x 11 | 15 x 11 |
Body | 17 x 11 | 12 x 11 | 10 x 11 |
Limb | 17 x 11 | 12 x 11 | 10 x 11 |
If you’re looking for a close-range shredder, then the Meat Maker is the shotgun for you. It absolutely destroys enemies with its powerful burst damage and is usually a guaranteed one-hit-kill if you’re at close enough range.
Thanks to that burst damage, you don’t really need to hit the head and can get away with a less-than-accurate aiming skill. Just perfect your Lancer and get close enough to the enemy, then they will be no more.
A-Tier gun in FragPunk
Mad Dog-S

- Weapon type: Submachine Gun
- Best Lancer: Broker, Hollowpoint, and Chum
Damage and Range | 0 – 20 M | 20 – 35 M | 35 – 60 M |
---|---|---|---|
Head | 39 | 36 | 33 |
Body | 26 | 24 | 22 |
Limb | 22 | 20 | 18 |
Mad Dog-S is the strongest submachine gun in FragPunk, boasting an impressive firing rate and speedy ADS. Despite not being as strong as some of the other choices, you’ll still find yourself mowing down enemies regardless of whether you hit their head or their body.
Keep yourself in close-quarter fighters, jump around corners, and you’ll likely be able to take down enemies before they see you. We suggest utilizing your smokes for this weapon, as it’ll allow you to get the drop on the enemy.
Highlife

- Weapon type: Sniper Rifle
Damage and Range | 0 – 8 M | 8 – 25 M | 25 – 60 M |
---|---|---|---|
Head | 300 | 240 | 200 |
Body | 150 | 120 | 100 |
Limb | 135 | 108 | 90 |
Sniper Rifles are perfect for a select few Lancers, and Highlife is no different. Despite it not being the strongest in its category, the one-shot kills and over 100 damage at mid to close range is hardly something to ignore. Once you combine it with the high ADS speed and pretty decent fire rate, you have an extremely viable weapon in your hands.
The only issue is its reload speed and versatility. The Sniper Rifle is only great on a select few maps, and you’ll need to reload each shot, slowing down any fight between you and a faster enemy. So, make your shots count, and understand your positioning for an easy win.
Standard Blitzer

- Weapon type: Melee Weapon
Melee weapons are tricky in FragPunk. Due to the smaller maps and fast-paced combat, sneaking up on someone is pretty tough and incredibly dangerous. Nevertheless, if you are going to risk it, then the Standard Blitzer should be your knife of choice.
It’s not the strongest melee weapon in FragPunk, but it is the quickest, and quicker strikes mean you can stab and get out of there faster. When you’re that close to an enemy, you don’t want to hang around long, as the rest of their team is likely not far behind.
Smoker

- Weapon type: Utility Gun
Damage and Range | 0 – 20 M | 20 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 60 | 54 |
Body | 20 | 18 |
Limb | 17 | 15 |
Utility guns are ideal if you need a little more damage or support during your time in FragPunk. They’re not always players’ first choice, but if you know how to utilize them, then you can capitalize on any holes in your abilities or your team’s gameplay.
The best Utility Gun in FragPunk is undeniably Smoker, providing you the perfect cover for snipers, melee, or just really anyone who wants to get the drop on the enemy. Smokes are everyone’s best friend, and having a weapon that utilizes this is ideal. The damage here is negligible, as you’ll be using it for smoke, not attacking.
B-Tier gun in FragPunk
Ghost Pepper

- Weapon type: Light Machine Gun
Damage and Range | 0 – 35 M | 35 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 98 | 87 |
Body | 28 | 25 |
Limb | 26 | 23 |
Light Machine Guns are a little tricky to wield in such a fast-paced environment like FragPunk due to their longer reload times. Sure, they’re powerful and have a fast fire rate, but when compared to the speed and damage of the Assault Rifle, nothing compares.
Nevertheless, the Ghost Pepper still holds its own, granting high damage, an unbelievably fast fire rate, and some long-ranged power. Given the right situation and user, Ghost Pepper will shred through enemies, but you’ll need to take them down before they shoot back.
My Way

- Weapon type: Light Machine Gun
Damage and Range | 0 – 35 M | 35 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 87 | 80 |
Body | 25 | 23 |
Limb | 23 | 21 |
Just like Ghost Pepper, My Way’s weapon type is the primary let-down. It’s got a high reload time, which likely means you won’t survive a restock. Despite this, you’ll still be able to deal some impressive damage to the enemy’s head, just not at the same power as Ghost Pepper.
Sure, it’s quicker than its counterpart, but in a game like FragPunk, that just doesn’t constitute it being worth using.
Bad Reputation

- Weapon type: Marksman Gun
Damage and Range | 0 – 15 M | 15 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 154 | 132 |
Body | 70 | 60 |
Limb | 66 | 57 |
Cursed with a low magazine capacity, the Bad Reputation Marksman Rifle is a deadly gun in FragPunk, so long as you aim and get clear of enemies before you run out of ammo, you’ll be fine. It’s great at mid-range, one-shotting enemies with a good headshot but can be incredibly tricky to master thanks to its hefty recoil.
Ultimately, it’s not the strongest weapon in FragPunk, there’s just better Marksman Rifles, or really anything else out there for you to use.
Boom Broom

- Weapon type: Shotgun
Damage and Range | 0 – 10 M | 10 – 25 M | 25 – 60 M |
---|---|---|---|
Head | 22 x 8 | 19 x 8 | 15 x 8 |
Body | 15 x 8 | 12 x 8 | 10 x 8 |
Limb | 15 x 8 | 12 x 8 | 10 x 8 |
Boom Broom is incredibly similar to Meat Maker in its damage, albeit slightly weaker. However, what really forces this shotgun into B-tier is its lack of one-shot killing. Unlike Meat Maker, you’ll have to get off a few shots before you send the enemy down.
Thankfully, you can always take another shot, making it a little more forgiving, but if you’re able to master the Shotgun, Meat Maker is your best choice.
Standard Striker

- Weapon type: Melee weapon
Think of Standard Striker like Standard Blitzer but slightly worse. Its damage is higher than its knife counterpart, but the longer attack time is deadly (in a bad way) for the hatchet. If you’re in melee combat, you need to be quick, dashing into the enemy, taking them down, and dashing back.
If you have to spend a while essentially reloading that attack to get them down for the second time, as one slash won’t do it, then they’ll just unleash bullets and you’ll be done for.
Burner

- Weapon type: Utility Gun
Damage and Range | 0 – 20 M | 20 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 60 | 54 |
Body | 20 | 18 |
Limb | 17 | 15 |
Incendiary bombs are great, but they’re not exactly worth wasting a secondary weapon on, especially when Pistols exist. Sure, if you like a little fire and explosions, then this is a great choice, but in terms of use, it’ll only serve to destroy enemies when they’re clustered together.
Essentially, if you really want more incendiary bombs, then Burner is great, but there are some much better options for secondary weapons.
Clampdown

- Weapon type: Submachine Gun
- Best Lancer: Zephyr, Corona, and Serket
Damage and Range | 0 -10 M | 10 – 20 M | 20 – 60 M |
---|---|---|---|
Head | 33 | 28 | 22 |
Body | 22 | 19 | 15 |
Limb | 18 | 16 | 12 |
Clampdown is a powerful Submachine Gun that’s let down by its damage dropoff and magazine size. Sure, it’s got a lot of ammo, but thanks to the fast-firing speed, you’ll end up running out a lot quicker than expected.
That being said, if you’re willing to get up close, this is a pretty good weapon, it’s just extremely particular around most maps.
C-Tier gun in FragPunk
Blaster

- Weapon type: Submachine Gun
Damage and Range | 0 – 20 M | 20 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 60 | 54 |
Body | 20 | 18 |
Limb | 17 | 15 |
Grenades are great, they’re a fantastic way to clear enemies out when they’re huddled or to prepare for a charge, but as a weapon, it feels like a waste. Especially when you have the Pistols or the Burner, which deal higher damage for the same style.
Unfortunately, in a game like FragPunk, you’re better off going for a better Lancer than picking a utility gun to fill that grenade gap.
Cold Shoulder

- Weapon type: Pistol
Damage and Range | 0 – 20 M | 20 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 46 | 40 |
Body | 23 | 20 |
Limb | 19 | 17 |
If you’re looking for a powerful Pistol, then it should be Vicious, not Cold Shoulder. Sure, it’s an automatic pistol and is therefore a little more forgiving than Vicious or Cure-All, but that lack of damage feels pointless in comparison.
If you’re using a Pistol as your secondary, you need it to end the enemy as quickly as you can, as it’s essentially a backup. Cold Shoulder does little more than lightly tickle them, rather than putting them in the ground.
Cure-All

- Weapon type: Pistol
Damage and Range | 0 – 20 M | 20 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 70 | 64 |
Body | 35 | 32 |
Limb | 29 | 27 |
The argument against Cure-All is the same as it was for Cold Shoulder. Sure, a 70 for a close-ranged headshot is good, but compared to its Vicious counterpart, it’s pointless, even if it outclasses Cold Shoulder.
The only thing Cure-All has going for it is its hipfire mode, firing three bullets without you needing to aim down your sight. However, given that’s not even a one-shot kill, you’ll quickly find yourself outmatched by pretty much anyone.
Flasher

- Weapon type: Submachine Gun
Damage and Range | 0 – 20 M | 20 – 60 M |
---|---|---|
Head | 60 | 54 |
Body | 20 | 18 |
Limb | 17 | 15 |
Flashbangs are fine in FragPunk, but they hardly warrant an entire secondary weapon for them. As we’ve mentioned in the other Utility Weapons, you’ll either want to go for Smoke, Incendiary, or get rid of them entirely for the Vicious Pistol (we suggest the latter).
If you want to manipulate the battlefield with Flash Grenades, then choose a Lancer that has them instead of wasting a slot.
So, those are the best guns in FragPunk. While diving into a match, be sure to check out the latest free codes for some rewards, or grab an invite code for even more skins. We also recommend keeping an eye on the game’s server status, just in case it goes down.
