After an Opening Night show that brought extensive looks at Black Ops 7, Resident Evil Requiem, and even the surprise announcement of Black Myth: Zhong Kui from Game Science, it’s Microsoft’s turn to take center stage.

Triangle Strategy
Square Enix, known for its HD-2D strategy titles, has brought Triangle Strategy to Xbox. The Xbox Gamescom broadcast highlighted its story-driven adventure, tactical battles, and character transformations with unique power-ups. Already a hit on Switch and PC, the game is now available today on Xbox.
The Rogue Prince of Persia
Evil Empire, the studio behind Dead Cells, is bringing its roguelike expertise to The Rogue Prince of Persia. The Xbox Gamescom broadcast showed off its fluid parkour, stylish 2D combat, and gunplay as players battle a corrupted army with unlockable boons across runs. The game is available on Xbox today.
Final Fantasy Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles
Square Enix is returning to Ivalice with Final Fantasy Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles, a full revival of the beloved tactical RPG series. The Gamescom broadcast highlighted party-based, turn-based combat, deep strategy, and richly detailed fantasy environments. Fans of the original can mark their calendars—this long-awaited entry arrives September 30, 2025.
Indiana Jones DLC – The Order of Giants
The Xbox showcase revealed another look at Indiana Jones‘ DLC, The Order of Giants. The Gamescom trailer showcased eerie corpses, cryptic puzzles, and combat sequences set against the backdrop of ancient Rome. Players can continue Indy’s journey soon, as the DLC launches September 4, 2025.

Tropico 7
Kalypso Media’s long-running city-builder series is back with Tropico 7, promising the most ambitious entry yet. The Gamescom broadcast featured El Presidente declaring “the thing is about to get better,” alongside a first look at upgraded visuals and expanded management systems. Fans can expect Tropico 7 to launch in 2026.
Invincible VS
Based on the hit comic and show, Invincible VS brings brutal superhero clashes to fighting games. The Gamescom broadcast highlighted intros and outros before fights, father-son dynamics, and movesets for Omni-Man and Invincible. Ultimates cause real damage, including dismemberment, staying true to the series. Invincible VS launches in 2026.
Ninja Gaiden 4
Team Ninja is officially bringing back its iconic action series with Ninja Gaiden 4. The Gamescom broadcast revealed expanded gameplay footage, showcasing fast-paced combat and polished mechanics, while also highlighting the game’s voice acting. Fans of Ryu Hayabusa’s brutal adventures can dive in when Ninja Gaiden 4 releases on October 12, 2025.
Outbound
Outbound blends beachside building with caravan road trips. The Gamescom broadcast showcased players designing seaside homes, decorating spaces, and driving across scenic landscapes to unwind with friends. This relaxing life-sim adventure is set to launch in the first half of 2026.
Project Bloomwalker
Project Bloomwalker is all about survival, crafting, and exploration in a world ravaged by pollution. The Gamescom broadcast featured a walking house companion, resource gathering, puzzle-solving, and combat alongside adorable oddlings and a giant cat. Players can also decorate settlements. No release date.
Nice Day for Fishing
FusionPlay’s cozy adventure Nice Day for Fishing, already available on other platforms, is casting its line onto Xbox. The Gamescom broadcast highlighted its charming lakeside setting, customizable gear, and whimsical fishing encounters as players rebuild Honeywood with friends. Nice Day for Fishing will launch on Xbox sometime in 2025.
Beastro
Timberline Studio is bringing Beastro to Xbox Game Pass. The Gamescom broadcast revealed its furry chefs whipping up meals, delivering them to fighters, and powering battles through cooking. With its mix of cozy creativity and combat strategy, Beastro is confirmed for Game Pass but has no release date.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade
Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, previously exclusive to PlayStation and PC, is finally coming to Xbox with a twist. The Gamescom showcase revealed the full remake, plus the Yuffie-focused side story, all bundled under Xbox Play Anywhere support. Launching in winter 2025.
Freestyle Football 2
We already knew Joycity was behind the long-running Freestyle sports series, and at Gamescom, they unveiled Freestyle Football 2. The reveal showed stylish soccer matches packed with flashy tricks, fun dynamics, and a cast of diverse characters aiming to make street football shine again. Launching in 2026.
World of Warcraft Midnight
Blizzard had already confirmed World of Warcraft would be making an appearance at Gamescom, and the showcase delivered. Players got a first look at gorgeous visuals for upcoming Midnight content, including brand-new zones to explore and long-requested player housing. Coming out in 2026.
Cronos The New Dawn Deep Dive
We already knew Bloober Team, fresh off their Silent Hill 2 remake, was brewing a twisted survival horror follow-up. At Gamescom, they unveiled gameplay for Cronos: The New Dawn, blending retro-futuristic body horror, time travel, and merging monsters. It’s set to launch on September 5, 2025.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 had already promised to shake things up, and Gamescom showed how. A high-octane trailer revealed global progression across all modes, returning characters, trippy story cutscenes, preorder bonuses, and a tease of endgame content. Launching October 25, 2025.
Day 2
Kill The Brickman
The turn-based roguelike Kill the Brickman, developed by Doonutsaur and published by Poncle (the folks behind Vampire Survivors), was officially revealed during the Microsoft Gamescom Broadcast and is already out on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam as of August 21, 2025.
Wildekin
Chucklefish, known for Stardew Valley publishing and Wargroove, teamed with Cute Newt on Wildekin, a 3D pixel-art survival adventure. Shown at the Xbox Gamescom Broadcast, it lets up to four players explore, build, and survive together. It launches day one on Game Pass in 2026.
At Fate’s End
Thunder Lotus, known for Spiritfarer, returned with At Fate’s End, a 2D adventure mixing tarot investigations, witty dialogue, heavy drinking, and slick combat. The Gamescom deep dive highlighted stylish hand-drawn art, branching choices, and quirky characters. The game’s release date was confirmed: players can dive in sometime in 2026.
New Fragpunk mode
Fragpunk, the flashy 5v5 hero shooter with card-based twists, unveiled a playful new mode: Toys Awaken. This update turns the battlefield into a toybox, with action figures and playthings springing to life mid-match. It’s coming out on September, 2025.
Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight deep dive
TT Games, the studio behind LEGO Star Wars, reintroduced LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight at Gamescom. They unveiled an open‑world Gotham, Arkham‑style combat with combos, counters, takedowns, gadgets, co‑op, and collectibles. Play as a core Bat‑rogues cast across 2026
Jurassic World Evolution 3
Frontier showcased Jurassic World Evolution 3 at the Xbox Broadcast. The deep dive gave us a close look at park-wide breeding, sculptable terrain, balloon tours, new dinos like Lokiceratops, and Jeff Goldblum narrating globally themed campaigns. The game comes out on October 31, 2025.
Hollow Knight Silksong
A new trailer teased over 200 foes, 40 legendary bosses, but most importantly, it gave us a release date: September 4, 2025.
Mistfall Hunter
Bellring Games, known for crafting tense PvPvE shooters, spotlighted Mistfall Hunter at Gamescom. The showcase highlighted third-person combat, distinct classes, precise aiming, and upgradable camps alongside extraction-focused gameplay. Designed for both solo and co-op play, it’s shaping up as a strategic survival experience. No official release date yet.
Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection
NetherRealm and Digital Eclipse unveiled Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, bundling 20+ games, including rarities Mythologies: Sub-Zero, Special Forces, and the elusive WaveNet version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. The collection adds online play, a Fatality Trainer, and an interactive documentary. The collection will come out on September 30, 2025.
Hotel Barcelona
Swery65 and Suda51’s team up returned with Hotel Barcelona, a 2.5D, time looping slasher roguelike about hunting serial killers. The Gamescom spot showed cel shaded style, seven themed floors, weapons, echoes of past runs, and three player co-op across PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. Release date confirmed: September 26, 2025.
Overwatch 2 Season 18
Blizzard, already known for its bold Overwatch 2 seasons, revealed a new support hero named Wuyang, plus an upcoming game mode and Season 18 details in the Xbox Gamescom broadcast. Wuyang’s water-based kit debuts August 26, 2025.
Outer Worlds 2 deep dive
Obsidian offered a The Outer Worlds 2 deep dive at the Xbox Gamescom Day 2 broadcast. We had another look at companions, and cried again at how they’re not romanceable. The Xbox team also showed off one specific mission and defiled a monarch’s tomb. There’s The game launches October 29, 2025.
Silent Hill f deep dive
Konami, pushing Silent Hill back into psychological horror, delivered a deep dive at Gamescom. They confirmed it was not a Soulslike, spotlighted Hinako’s English voice actor Suzie Yeung, and showcased melee-heavy, weapon‑based horror rooted in atmosphere, not action. Silent Hill f launches September 25, 2025.
Valor Mortis deep dive
Polish developer One More Level gave us a closer look at Valor Mortis. This is a first-person, soulslike action horror set in an alternate Napoleonic-era Eastern Europe. It’s all about precision Soulsstyle combat with Metroidvania-inspired exploration and grotesque foes. A closed playtest follows Gamescom, with full release planned for PC and consoles in 2026.
Age of Empire Dynasty of the East
World’s Edge revealed that Age of Empires 4 is heading to PlayStation 5 on November 4, 2025, paired with its new Dynasties of the East expansion. This DLC introduces four fresh variant civilizations, Golden Horde, Macedonian Dynasty, Sengoku Daimyo, and Tughlaq Dynasty and a roguelite RTS mode called The Crucible across all platforms.
High on Life 2
Squanch Games, fresh off the surreal charm of High on Life, dropped an electrifying deep dive today. They revealed High on Life 2 will launch on February 13, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5, hitting Game Pass on day one.
Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater
Konami spotlighted Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater at the Xbox Gamescom Showcase, a faithful remake of the 2004 classic. The trailer confirmed the beloved story, cast, and music return with modern visuals and immersive detail. The game launches August 28, 2025.
