Bad Guitar StudioFragPunk, the free-to-play hero shooter is here, bringing rule-changing chaos to the battlefield, but don’t expect to play with friends on other platforms anytime soon.
Whether you’re looking to learn how to slide across the map, figure out the best Lancers to master, or choose some of the best Shard Cards in the game, FragPunk is filled with unexpected changes in every single fight.
However, sometimes those changes occur outside of the game, which is entirely the case with FragPunk’s crossplay.
Does FragPunk have crossplay?
Unfortunately, FragPunk doesn’t currently have any crossplay capabilities, primarily because it isn’t available on any consoles at the moment. As of the time of writing, FragPunk is only available to play on PC.
This was confirmed on March 4, when the developers shared a statement on X explaining that there would be a delayed launch on console platforms.
In the statement, they explained that they “encountered unexpected technical challenges in optimization and adaptation” and given that, they’ve “made the difficult decision to delay the launch of the console versions.”
The developers didn’t reveal when the version will launch, but did promise all rewards that players miss out on will be given when the version goes live, and explained that more information will be coming soon.
So, crossplay isn’t currently available for FragPunk, and likely won’t be an option for a while, until they optimize the game for console.
That being said, before this announcement, crossplay was a confirmed feature for FragPunk, so when the console release goes live, crossplay will likely follow.
