R.E.P.O forces players into a terrifying yet hilarious scenario where they must avoid monsters, grab upgrades, and survive for as long as they can. Now that’s easier said than done unless you have some great mods.
Mods are ideal for most games (unless they’re banned and result in you losing your account). They can help improve the camera like Monster Hunter Wilds, add a complete shader overhaul like in Hogwarts Legacy, or grant enough upgrades to keep you alive when facing terrifying monsters, like R.E.P.O.
So, if you’re looking to ease a major frustration, spot the enemy before they spot you, or just improve smaller aspects, here are the best mods for you to try out in R.E.P.O.
Best R.E.P.O mods
Shared Upgrades
Nothing is worse than exploring R.E.P.O. only to watch as your teammate steals that one upgrade you’ve been looking for, leaving you stuck, struggling to survive, and likely pretty frustrated.
Well with the Shared Upgrades mod, you’ll be able to get rid of this by (you guessed it) sharing your upgrades. If your greedy teammate picks up a stamina upgrade then you can too, as it’s shared among the team. It’s the perfect mod for those who want to keep the same power and work as a team.

Enemy Location

Staying alive in R.E.P.O. requires three things, skill, a little bit of luck, and knowing where then enemy is before they get to you. Sure, having a good understanding of the game and knowledge of where you are at any one time is ideal, but it won’t save you when the enemy sneaks up on you and takes you down.
That’s where the Enemy Location mod comes in, allowing you to see their location on the map whenever you want. Sure, it’s a little bit overpowered, and might take some of the fun out of the game if you prefer the shock and horror aspect, but if you want to take them down, then knowing where to find the enemy is pivotal.

Emergency Revive

While dying in R.E.P.O is undeniably a little funny given the poor player will explode, it’s the act of reviving them that causes the most stress. Not only do they revive with a measly one HP but you have to find an extraction station to get them back in the game.
That is unless you use the Emergency Revive mod which allows you to revive your teammate by grabbing their head and holding the R button. This can be done by using a percentage of your health or for free, depending on how much you want to punish yourself.

Enhanced Stamina Upgrade

Running away from monsters is tiring work, and running out of stamina is more often than not a recipe for disaster, or at least your teammates heading over to the extraction station to bring you back. After all, your stamina doesn’t exactly regenerate that fast in R.E.P.O.
Luckily there’s a fix for this. The Enhanced Stamina Upgrade mod will allow you to boost your Stamina’s regeneration rate letting you get back into the fight (or the running away) faster and more efficiently. Specifically, “each Stamina Upgrade increases your stamina regeneration rate by 0.5 points per upgrade.”

BetterFlashlight

Sure, a horror game isn’t really as scary without a little bit of darkness, but sometimes it’s a little too much, and can force you or your team to blindly walk into a monster, which never ends well.
So, if you’re struggling to see, or just wish you had a little bit more visibility, then you’ll want to grab the BetterFlashlight mod. It serves to enhance your flashlight, though now has a limited time of 10 seconds, and will take 10 seconds to rechage, so it’s still a balanced feature.
