Monster Hunter Wilds mods can make your adventure through the Forbidden Lands even better, with everything from game-changing graphics tweaks to performance-boosting tools that can help with your FPS.

Mods can greatly shake up your experience in Monster Hunter Wilds and can even help the game run better, which is important for anyone struggling to maintain a stable 60 FPS. The best mods enhance your gameplay, giving you some much-needed quality-of-life changes that let you focus on slaying the toothy terrors.

So, if you’re looking to improve graphics, boost your FPS, or just make hunting life a little easier, we’ve got a list of some great mods below, as well as how to install them.

Best Monster Hunter Wilds mods

We’ve curated our mod recommendations based on how useful they are to your playthrough. It’s recommended that you do not use any mods that impact gameplay in multiplayer, like damage mods, as this can ruin other players’ online experience and could even result in a ban.

While the mods below are useful, it’s worth noting that Capcom has previously stated that mods count as cheats. Because of this, use them at your own risk.

All Items in the Shop

Monster Hunter Wilds shop

Tired of running out of Honey for Mega Potions? Maybe you’ve yet to unlock the item farm feature in Monster Hunter Wilds. Keeping a stockpile of items is important, especially when taking on High Rank and Tempered monsters.

Well, the All Items in the shop mod ensures you never need to gather or farm items ever again. Nearly every consumable besides unlockable tools can be purchased from the shop using your Zenny. We recommend downloading this time-saving mod if you want to focus purely on the hunts ahead.

Monster healthbar and DPS overlay

Monster with a HP bar

While the Monster Hunter series has never displayed healthbars in mainline titles (it’s a good thing), this UI mod is great for showing how much damage your equipment does. This is especially useful when you’re mixing around with different armor sets and skills. Essentially, this handy UI mod just allows you to delve into the nitty-gritty when it comes to measuring your damage output.

After all, minmaxing stats is all part of the fun during late game when you’re trying to push your gear as far as it can go.

No Crafting Requirements

Now, while I’d argue that every Hunter should always fight every monster they wish to make gear from, some players may not have the luxury of marathon gaming sessions. This is especially true when you have your own little monsters to look after or a job that doesn’t allow you to sneak in some hunting sessions (we won’t tell).

The No Crafting Requirements mod does exactly what it says on the tin. You’ll be able to craft every weapon without having to spend hundreds of hours getting every tooth, tail, and thigh bone ever again. Making the best weapons has never been so easy!

Wilds Rehydrated

One of the biggest gripes fans have with Monster Hunter Wilds is it’s tendency to look washed out and blurry. This is largely due to various lighting and fog effects, which lead to muddier visuals. While you can change some of these in settings, the Wilds Rehydrated mod fixes everything for you.

If that wasn’t enough, this lightweight mod increases the clarity and color of Wilds without sacrificing performance.

Auto highlight enemy weak points

While Focus Mode is one of the best parts of Monster Hunter Wilds (we mentioned it in our glowing review), there are times when you just want to carry on wailing on your scaly foe.

Sure, Focus Mode is great for when you need to adjust your camera to line up that meaty True Charge Slash, but for weapons like Dual Blades and Long Sword, just being able to instantly destroy weak points without having to hold down another button is a bonus.

This mod makes Wilds feel more like previous entries in the series, which is great for veteran hunters.

Optimizer and FPS booster

If you’re already using our best Monster Hunter Wilds FPS settings and still struggling to get stable performance, then try the Optimizer and FPS Booster mod. This tweaked config file can increase your performance by 10+ FPS and reduce CPU usage by 10-15%, which can give you a bump needed to get that all-important 60 FPS.

If you’re finding your performance drops during particularly intense Hunts (we’re looking at you Rey Dau), then you need this mod.

Auto Fix Camps

Hunter next to a Pop-up Camp

Pop-up Camps are great in Monster Hunter Wilds. Not only do they allow you to switch out your equipment and restock your consumables, but they also enable you to catch up quickly to your fleeing foe. Well, that’s until a monster decides to put its foot through it.

Fortunately, the Auto Fix Camps instantly make repairs without you ever needing to head back to base and pay off your Palico workers. It’s a simple mod but one that removes the tedium of having to pay Bob the Builder a visit.

Item Cost Tweaks

Struggling to pay for Potions and Trap Tools? Do Gemma’s weapon forging prices have you feeling blue? Well, you never run out of Zenny ever again with the get rich quick Item Cost Tweak mod.

Once installed, items can be purchased from the shop for a lowly one Zenny (it’s as good as free), while you can sell any items for a dizzying 99999 Zenny. Who said the Hunters couldn’t be billionaires?

Free Character and Palico Edits

Monster Hunter Wilds character edit screen

Monster Hunter Wilds has the most in-depth character creator ever seen in Capcom’s beast-slaying series. However, there’s just one problem. If you want to make major changes to your hunter, you’ll need to be prepared to purchase a character edit voucher for $6.99 USD.

This isn’t ideal for those who enjoy trying out different looks, but fortunately, the Unlimited Character and Palico edit mod removes this microtransaction completely. Now let your inner fashion hunter shine and style away to your heart’s content.

Infinite Consumables

Gathering resources and stocking up on consumables is a big part of the hunt in Monster Hunter adventure. You’ll need plenty of them for important recovery items like Potions.

This can be a bit time-consuming however, and if you’d prefer to concentrate on battling monsters rather than ensuring your item pouch is always full, the Infinite Consumables mod essentially removes that aspect of the game.

Enabling it will mean your item pouch never decreases so you can easily access whatever consumable you need without having to fret about running low. You also won’t have to keep trekking to the shop to stock up on items either as they’ll automatically refill!

Better Camera Distance

This mod works hand in hand with ReFramework as it gives you camera distance and FOV sliders. Not only does it let you set different camera distances for combat and Focus mod, but you can also set custom FOV for combat, focus mode, and field exploration.

Overall, this one is ideal if you prefer different views for specific situations.
