Marvel Rivals features a huge roster of iconic heroes and villains, and the lineup is only going to grow over time, but which characters are yet to be released?
In many ways, Marvel Rivals is the multiplayer shooter that comic book fans have been calling for, taking the structure and format of Overwatch and sprinkling in popular heroes and villains from across the Marvel multiverse.
The game initially launched with 33 characters, and since then, the roster has been growing rapidly, adding Fantastic Four characters, Emma Frost, Ultron, and Phoenix.
With that in mind, there are still plenty of other familiar faces that players would love to see. So, here’s a look at all the leaked ones we know about so far.

According to a well-known dataminer, five new X-Men characters have been found in the game files, including Forge, Hive, Amarath, White Fox, and Armor.
However, it was mentioned in another post that these newly found characters aren’t “fleshed out and ready” just yet, which means that it’s likely we won’t be seeing them arrive in-game anytime soon.
Of all the characters on this list, Blade is the one we were expecting to see after Ultron. The iconic vampire hunter was shown off in a trailer for Season 1.5 and can be seen on the Central Park map. In the previous season, he was essentially captured and imprisoned by Dracula.
However, things took a different turn as soon as Season 2 started. Devs have added a new detail regarding him by having him rest in the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda map.
Meanwhile, the rest in this list are based solely on leaks and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Dataminer X0XLEAK was the first to break the news on most of these leaks, though their claims have evidence, actual images from game files, and are often corroborated by other dataminers. And, according to what they’ve found, Professor X may also be coming a lot sooner than expected.
With a statue of him also being spotted in-game, it’s likely that he’ll be headlining Season 4.
There’s a healthy mix of popular and lesser-known heroes across all these leaks, making it clear the dev team wants to play the hits just as much as they want to bring more obscure Marvel heroes and villains into the spotlight.
Are the devs baiting players with leaks?
Marvel Rivals has been subject to an unusual number of leaks, revealing many characters that are seemingly not due to arrive for many months. This led to speculation that NetEase might be deliberately planting fake heroes to throw leakers off the scent.
However, this was later debunked when the devs insisted they’d rather spend their time working on the game than conjure up fake leaks. So, while this doesn’t prove that all of the characters listed above will arrive, it does at least make the reports more credible.
Is Doctor Doom coming to Marvel Rivals?

Doctor Doom is in Marvel Rivals, but not as a playable character – at least for now. Instead, he was the main antagonist of Season 0 which started on the same day as the game’s worldwide launch.
But while the legendary villain played a key role in the first few months of Marvel Rivals, he isn’t joining the fight himself as far as we know. It’s too early to rule him out as a playable character in the future, but given that he hasn’t featured in any of the leaks, he’s unlikely to arrive anytime soon.
We’ll be sure to update this page with details on other heroes joining the character roster in the future as soon as we know.
