Marvel Rivals features several important currencies in the game We’ve listed them all, along with the vital details you need to know about them.
While Marvel Rivals boasts a roster filled with characters many players are familiar with, getting into the game for the first time can be confusing.
And by that, not just in terms of learning the characters’ abilities and Team-Up mechanics, but also when it comes to understanding all the different currencies the game has. During the game’s launch, there were only three currencies.
However, as of Season 2, devs have added more currency types along the way. Before you spend them, it’s important to know what each of them can be used for to avoid making a mistake you’ll possibly regret later.
All Marvel Rivals currencies explained

The game essentially has five types of currency: Units, Lattice, Chrono Tokens, Unstable Molecules, as well as Costume Coin. Each has its own uses, and we’ve compiled them below.
Units
Those who played during the beta phases are no strangers to Units. This is the blue currency that you can obtain by completing missions, which can later be spent to get skins or bundles from the in-game shop.
Units can be earned for free in limited quantities via the Battle Pass, as well as by completing Achievements and Events.
Lattice
Lattice is the premium currency in Marvel Rivals. You can either purchase Lattice with real money or grind through the Battle Pass to unlock the tabs that feature this as a reward.
Lattice can also be exchanged for Units at a 1:1 ratio. In the US region, USD $0.99 equals 100 Lattice, while USD 99.99 can get you 11,680 Lattice.
Chrono Tokens

Unlike all the others, Chrono Tokens are tied to the Battle Pass. These function as a currency to unlock free rewards and the ones from the Luxury tier. Players will be able to earn Chrono Tokens by completing tasks and events in the game.
One important thing to keep in mind is that these do not carry over to the next season’s Battle Pass. However, it’s possible to convert them to Units, provided you’ve unlocked all the rewards and reached the last page.
Unstable Molecules
Unstable Molecules are used to purchase “Chromas”, essentially recolors of certain skins. This currency can be obtained by exchanging Lattice in a one-to-one conversion. Recolors are priced at 600 Unstable Molecules, so that’s the amount of Lattice you have to spend.
Costume Coin

Costume Coin is the latest currency added to the game, and it’s definitely a welcome addition, given that it’s used to exchange a free skin of your choice. There’s a catch to this though, as not all skins are available to be traded with this particular currency.
One way to get a Costume Coin is to purchase a Pick-Up Bundle. Think of this like a mini Battle Pass, where you get to unlock rewards. Another method to get your hands on this currency is by participating in events.
Skin pricing details

As for cosmetics and pricing, most of the skins are sold as Bundles that include additional items in the store. It is also possible to purchase most of the skins individually if you’re not a fan of the extra cosmetics. Buying the entire bundle will just give you a discounted price.
These are just some examples of the bundle’s pricing and what they include:
- Standard Epic-Quality Bundle: 1,600 UNITS (Standard value: 2,200 UNITS, -28% discount)
- Standard Epic-Quality MCU Bundle: 1,800 UNITS (Standard value: 2,400 UNITS, -25% discount)
- Standard Legendary-Quality Bundle: 2,400 UNITS (Standard value: 3,300 UNITS, -28% discount)
Seeing how USD $0.99 can get you 100 Units, the Standard Epic-Quality Bundle would cost roughly $16. Included in a Standard Epic-level Bundle are five different items, as follows:
- Costume/skin
- MVP animation
- Emote
- Spray
- Nameplate
Battle Pass details
The in-game Battle Pass includes both free and premium rewards. With a price of 990 Lattice or about $9.99, you get to unlock various cosmetics, including skins, sprays, emotes, nameplates, and so much more.
On the other hand, the free tier of the pass also offers free rewards you can unlock, just not as much as the Luxury tier one.
Though if you’re on the free track right now and somehow decide to change your mind later to buy the Luxury tier of the pass, rest assured, the rewards will still be able to be redeemed in future seasons.
So, that sums up everything you need to know about all the currencies in the game. While you’re here, make sure to familiarize yourself with the best crosshair codes, game modes, and minimum requirements to help give you the best experience possible.
