As Chapter 6, Season 3 draws closer to an end, Epic has just unveiled a new event that players will be able to take part in.
Here’s when the next Fortnite live event will begin and everything you need to know.
Next Fortnite live event date and time
The next Fortnite live event, Super Showdown, will arrive on August 2, 2025, at 2:30 PM ET. Fitting to this season’s theme, that is all about superheroes, this limited-time event is set to feature Superman, who will “help save the island.”
Though Epic didn’t specify exactly what would happen just yet, we got a little glimpse of the chaos about to be unleashed on the island.
As seen from the teaser trailer, the Demon Domain POI will likely be destroyed, which is often the case to make room for a new location in the next season.
Apart from this, a large monster can be seen in the trailer for a few seconds. Many are speculating that this is the Kraken.
If that’s true, it’ll certainly be interesting to see how Superman will handle this creature, or if there’s a chance the players could participate to help in any way.
When was the last Fortnite live event?
The last live event players could participate in was “Blast Off”, available in the OG mode on July 26, 2025.
EPICUnlike most events, this particular one paid tribute to the first-ever live event in Season 4, essentially recreating the moment the rocket launched to the sky, leading to the famous crack appearing in-game.
After the event concluded, the red crack stayed visible from the island. It’s unclear what this entails at the time of writing, but there’s always a possibility that it could be linked to the story of the next event or chapter.
How to watch a Fortnite live event
To join a Fortnite live event, either ensure you’re in a Battle Royale or Zero Build match at the event’s specified start time and date, or join the specific playlist.
For example, the Death Star Sabotage took place in its own playlist, and players were able to find it on the Discover tab two hours before the event began.
In the case of the Super Showdown live event, it’s recommended to head to the game early at 2:00 PM ET to avoid possible server issues, allowing you to secure a spot for yourself.
While some events are one-time experiences, others offer multiple opportunities to watch or participate in live events. Meanwhile, events like the Godzilla x Kong crossover were previously active in matches for a two-week duration.
