When and where is the Fortnite World Cup Finals?

The Fortnite World Cup Finals eminate live from Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City, USA. The event runs across the entire weekend, kicking off on Friday, July 26 and wrapping up on Sunday, July 28.

Fans who want to watch the tournament, but aren’t willing to stop playing the game itself are also in luck, as Epic Games have confirmed that they have introduced a brand new ‘Picture-in-Picture’ mode which will alow players to view the event while they search for Victory Royales. The new feature will officially go live at the start of the event on July 26.

What is the format for the Fortnite World Cup Finals tournaments? 

Duos teams will battle it out in six matches, with teams awarded points based on performance in those games. The team with the most points at the conclusion of the sixth game will be crowned as the winner. 

Players in the Solos tournament will also compete in six matches, with tiebreakers settled by Victory Royales,maverage eliminations, average placement and finally a coin flip. 

Players can earn points for match placement and from eliminations, with points awarded as follows:

  • Victory Royales: 10 Points
  • 2nd – 5th: 7 Points
  • 6th – 15: 5 Points
  • 16th – 25th: 3 Points
  • Each Elimination: 1 Point

What is taking place at the Fortnite World Cup Finals?

The Fortnite World Cup Finals will be stocked full of incredible events throughout the weekend, starting on Friday, July 26 with the Creative Finals and the Celebrity Pro-Am. 

Saturday is dedicated to the Duos, with 50 teams fighting to be the last team standing, with the main event taking place on Sunday, as 100 Fortnite players drop onto the game’s map with the ambition of being crowned Fortnite World Champion.
