How to find Fortnite Golden Llamas in Chapter 6 Season 2

Fortnite has just added Golden Llamas to the island, which are hard to find due to how rare they are. Here’s the best way to track them down.

Fortnite has just rolled out its 34.10 update, bringing a plethora of new additions to the island to shake things up, such as new weapons and keycards to access premium loadouts. Not to mention, the new Outlaw Midas skin has also been made available via the Battle Pass.

As usual, among these additions are new challenges you can complete to earn XP. One of the latest weekly challenges requires you to search for three Golden Llamas in the game.

These are rare finds, though, as they aren’t just regular Llamas. So, here’s everything you need to know about where to find golden Lamas in Fortnite.

How to search Golden Llamas in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2

Golden Llamas spawn randomly on the map, with each match having only three of them. So, there’s essentially no fixed location to find them. As they could appear just anywhere, you’ll just have to keep your eyes peeled on your surroundings constantly.

The best method to spot them is to use the Launch Pads scattered all over the map and be on the lookout for the ground, as they’re generally easy to spot due to their gold color. In my case, though, I was able to find one near the Keisha Cross NPC in the Rainbow Fields area.

Unlike the regular Supply Llama, this type of Llama won’t run away from you when spotted. They’re more like golden statues that sit still on the ground, making them easier to loot, assuming there’s no one nearby.

To claim your loot, all you need to do is search the Llama by getting close to it and interacting with it. The Golden Llama has a chance to drop Gold Bars, Gold Splashes, and ammo, among other things, all of which are useful this season.

Since the weekly quests require you to Search 3 Golden Llamas, you can either prioritize finding these in one match as opposed to eliminating other players or just look for them again in the next match if necessary.
