Epic GamesFortnite added a Dodge Ram truck to the Item Shop, but players already regret buying the vehicle because of “major bugs” affecting it.
The RAM 1500 RHO truck hit Fortnite‘s Item Shop on March 25, giving squads another Truck/SUV-style vehicle to travel around the map.
It’s not a cheap addition, either. Users looking to purchase the off-road Dodge will need to spend 2,500 V-Bucks to use it in Battle Royale mode and Rocket League.
And since the vehicle will only remain available in the shop until April 7, some players may be feeling a bit of FOMO. However, those who already bit the bullet have warned that waiting may be the best bet in this case, since the new Dodge Ram is bugged.
Fortnite players frustrated by glitched Dodge Ram
A Reddit user who purchased the new vehicle upon its release, Halflife84, has warned fellow Fortnite users about buying the truck. The vehicle in its current state suffers from “some major bugs,” they wrote.
In a 90-second gameplay clip, the player demonstrated the most glaring issue – trying to shoot at enemies from inside the vehicle is a struggle.
The character leans out of the window as intended, but half the time the truck’s interior blocks their view. As a result, firing shots occasionally results in the character damaging the vehicle.
Contending with an awkward angle raises another issue even when the user can successfully shoot outside.
In subsequent posts in the thread, the OP said they encountered the bug on PC but noted that it’s “replicatable [sic] on PS5 as well.”
This doesn’t seem to be an isolated error either, since other players in the comments chimed in to say they’ve experienced similar problems with the Dodge Ram.
“I’m following up on this because same,” one person added with a crying emoji.
This isn’t the first vehicle to hit the Item Shop with bugs that put users at a disadvantage. Notoriously, the Cybertruck launched with a glitch that made Nitro Fists unusable in Chapter 5.
