Since Sabrina Carpenter’s Fortnite debut, some players are ditching combat in favor of full-blown dance parties in this Battle Royale.
In Fortnite, you’re supposed to eliminate every opponent – unless you’re officially paired in Duos, Trios, or Squads – as teaming up with enemies in Solo mode is a big no-no.
Epic Games calls it cheating and hands out bans, so any player caught colluding faces punishments ranging from three-day bans to full-on account shutdowns. That includes coordinated landing, item swapping, or any synchronized shimmying with the enemy.
But now, Carpenter-mania has officially broken the rules – and the will to fight – because since her skin hit the item shop, something strange has started happening in the Battle Royale.
Fortnite players won’t shoot Sabrina Carpenter
Fortnite players in her yellow babydoll dress are refusing to shoot each other. Instead, they’re lining up, throwing out Espresso and Taste emotes, and just vibing in groups.
Forget kill counts. Fortnite is now a pop concert with attendees with questionable aim and zero trigger discipline. They’re pulling out microphones, strutting in sync, and practically hosting talent shows mid-circle.
It’s cute. It’s weird. It’s technically cheating.
This reaction shouldn’t be shocking. Carpenter’s Fortnite takeover was designed for maximum sparkle. She’s the headliner of Season 8’s Fortnite Festival, complete with Grammy glam and tour drip.
Her skins scream pop star, with multiple variants that mirror her real-life stage looks. From the yellow Victoria’s Secret dress to LEGO mode, there’s a flavor for every fan. The new “Emote Together” feature lets anyone join a dance – no purchase required.

Fortnite is changing, and for Sabrina Carpenter, it might bend the rules. With the new Emote Together feature, ten years’ worth of Fortnite Item Shop emotes are suddenly available to everyone close enough to press E.
