How to get free LEGO skins in Fortnite: Mr Dappermint, Explorer Emilie & Trailblazer Tai

Fortnite has become known for its huge amount of collabs and crossovers. So when Epic Games launched the LEGO edition in December 2023, it was obvious some new skins were also arriving with the survival game — so here’s how to get all the latest ones.
How to unlock LEGO Explorer Emilie & Mr. Dappermint skins
To unlock the Emilie and Mr. Dappermint skins, follow the steps below:
- Sign up for LEGO Insiders.
- Tap on your avatar and go to ‘My Profile‘.
- Go to ‘Settings’ and ‘Edit Account‘.
- Enter the second option ‘Connections‘.
- Link the Epic Games account you use to play Fortnite.
Explorer Emilie has been available in LEGO Fortnite since December 2023, while Mr. Dappermint was added to the game in late 2024. You can redeem both skins via this method with only Mr. Dappermint unlocking if you’ve already redeemed Emilie.

Sign-up for Lego Insiders
The first thing you’ll need to do is create an account for Lego Insiders. Once you’re on the website, click on the ‘Join Now’ button on the top right corner of the screen.
Now you’ll need to choose an avatar and a LEGO nickname – just scroll through the options by clicking on the arrows on the screen until you find a name and look you like.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll be emailed an Activation Code. Head over to the email, copy the code, and paste it into the box on the website.
When that’s done you’ll be taken to an Account Details page where you need to enter a:
- Username
- Password
- Your region
- Date of Birth
- After all this is done, hit the ‘Create Account’ button at the bottom of the page and you’ll be set up!
Navigate to the Connections menu
Once you’re logged in, click on your account Avatar, and select the ‘My Profile’ option that appears.
From here, click on the Settings option located in the menu just above your Avatar photo. Then press on the ‘Edit Account’ button.
DexertoUnder the next menu, you’ll find the ‘Connections’ option – click on that and you’ll be prompted to link your Epic Games account.

From the Connections tab, click on ‘Link’ beside the Epic Games option.
DexertoNext, you’ll have to reenter your Lego account password, and then be redirected to the Epic Games website.
Finally, type in your Epic Games email address and password and hit enter. Once the page refreshes it should redirect you back to the Lego Insiders website and your accounts will now be linked.
Log into LEGO Fortnite
Now you just need to launch LEGO Fortnite, and as long as your accounts are linked, you’ll see a pop-up of the skins a few seconds after the game has launched.
How to unlock Trailblazer Tai skin
To unlock the Trailblazer Tai skin in LEGO Fortnite, you must have claimed the True Explorers Quest Pack for free from the Item Shop before January 31, 2024. If you missed this deadline, the Outfit is no longer obtainable.
Trailblazer Tai Bonus Goals
If you have the quest pack, you’ll need to complete all four Trailblazer Tai Bonus Goals in LEGO Fortnite to unlock the skin:
- Invite an NPC to live in any village in a Survival World (1)
- Craft a Shortsword in a Survival World (1)
- Build a Spinning Wheel in a Survival World (1)
- Hit and deal damage with a Recurve Crossbow in a Survival World (1)
By completing all the quests, you’ll unlock not just Trailblazer Tai in LEGO Fortnite, but also a standard Fortnite skin for use in Battle Royale and other game modes. Additionally, finishing all the quests will grant you his Skullder Back Bling.
