The Chapter 6 Season 2 trailer included a music video of sorts starring the new character and fictional rapper, Big Dill.
Not long after the trailer went live, real-world entertainer T-Pain shared a photo of himself working with Big Dill in his Instagram stories. As spotted by FNBRintel, the post’s caption simply read, “We cooking something.”
The photo led to speculation that Epic Games had a T-Pain collab in the works; the company itself has since confirmed as much. Though it’s obvious the ‘Bartender’ singer and Big Dill aren’t the best of friends at the moment.
Fortnite character Big Dill engages in fake beef with T-Pain
Epic has released the first part of a mini-documentary about the “rap beef of the century.” It just so happens to double as a Fortnite promo for the next major update.
In the video, artist T-Pain explains that he and Big Dill were working on tracks together. All seemed fine until the pair shared a glass of pickle juice.
Seemingly unhappy about the drink making T-Pain sick, Big Dill left the studio in a rage. Security footage even shows him sabotaging equipment and stealing his collaborator’s work. Big Dill started dropping diss tracks soon thereafter.
The clip ends with a “To be continued” tag, so fans can expect to hear Big Dill’s side of the story in the next Fortnite promo.
Fortnite faithful are already taking sides in the feud, with some even calling Big Dill an “industry plant.”
In all seriousness, though, the general consensus is that this may be a tease building towards the announcement of a real T-Pain collab, one that could see him join the game like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Ice Spice did in Chapter 5.
Chapter 6 Season 2 will go live on Friday, February 21, with a Battle Pass featuring Big Dill, Midas, and Mortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero.
