Best chest spawn locations
The top three chest spawn locations in Fortnite during the Lawless season are Crime City, Masked Meadows, and Seaport City.
These locations stand out because they not only have some of the highest total chest spawns, but each also contains 10 Go Bags and a vault to break open, making them prime spots for gearing up quickly.
The only location that comes close is Lonewolf Lair, boasting 15 Go Bags and 53 total chests. However, it falls short compared to Seaport City’s 70 chests, and its maze-like design and high player traffic make looting slow and risky. While it does have three rare chests, unlike Seaport, it’s still not strong enough.
Crime City
Crime City was the standout POI featured heavily in the Season 2 promos, and it’s easy to see why. It simply boasts the best chest spawn location of the season, making it the ultimate landing spot for top-tier loot straight from the start of your Battle Royale matches.
It boasts the highest chest total this season with 83, along with three Rare chests, 10 Go Bags, and a vault. As the most central of the top three locations, it offers a prime position for rotations but also comes with high risk. Being surrounded by the newly added POIs, Shiny Shafts and Outlaw Oasis, means you’ll likely face heavy player traffic, so approach with caution and be ready for intense early fights.
Masked Meadows
With 79 chests, Masked Meadows boasts the second-highest total, just four shy of Crime City. It also matches Crime City in key loot, featuring 10 Go Bags, three Rare chests, and a vault.
This location quickly became a fan-favorite when it was introduced in Season 1 and it has remained a strong POI to land at this season.
Despite being the furthest south on the island, its remote location works to its advantage—fewer players typically land here, making it an ideal drop spot for those who prefer a safer, less chaotic start. If you’re less experienced or just want a more relaxed looting phase, this is a top-tier choice. Plus, its classic Fortnite street layout, seen in various POIs over past seasons, makes navigation simple and familiar.
Seaport City
Located just east of the map’s center, Seaport City is a dense commercial district nestled along the waterfront, directly across from the towering Shining Span bridge. It’s location is fairly central, but there aren’t many surrounding POIs or loot-heavy areas.
The best strategy is to eliminate nearby enemies, crack open the vault, loot from the 60 chests and 10 Go Bags, then rotate with the Storm Circle in a vehicle.
Its varied elevation and multi-level buildings create intense combat scenarios, forcing you to stay vigilant, use cover wisely, and capitalize on height advantages to outmaneuver enemies. Keep your head on a swivel—danger can come from any direction in this urban battleground.
