After being discontinued, Starbucks brought back free refills for customers who dine inside the café. Here’s how to get one.
On January 27, Starbucks reintroduced free refills for customers. It’s unknown how long the offer will be available, but for now, Starbucks lovers can get their hands on one free refill in participating stores in the US and Canada.
The offer is only available to customers when they order “for here” while dining in at a Starbucks. Though a customer may initially order a specialty beverage like a latte or frappuccino, only hot or iced coffee and tea are available for free.
There are some brewed selections, however, that aren’t available for a free refill. Those include Cold Brew, Nitro Cold Brew, Iced Tea Lemonade, flavored Iced Tea, and Starbucks Refreshers.
Customers seeking a free refill in-store will be served their second drink in a coffee mug or glass provided by Starbucks. Customers can also bring their own, cleaned cup from home.
Starbucks reintroduces condiment bars in stores
Starbucks also brought back their condiment bar for in-store customers to enjoy. Now, they’ll be able to add their own creamer, milk, and sweeteners to their beverages. The store also urges customers to ask a barista if they don’t see their preferred additive.
In November 2024, Starbucks initiated another big change when it stopped charging customers extra for non-dairy products like almond milk, oat milk, and more.
The coffee shop has also implemented a “Coffeehouse Code of Conduct.” With the company’s goal to “create a welcoming environment,” they ask that customers follow certain rules to be able to enjoy the privilege of dining in their café.
The rules include no misuse or disruption of our spaces, no discrimination or harassment, no violence or abusive/threatening language, no consuming outside alcohol, no smoking/vaping or drug use, and no panhandling.
