YouTube: New Heights ShowNew Heights, a podcast hosted by NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce, has taken over the Spotify podcast charts thanks to their surprise episode with Taylor Swift.
On Tuesday, August 12, New Heights shared a teaser video revealing a special guest for their return episode, and just hours later, it was announced that it was Taylor Swift.
Alongside the reveal, the podcast posted on TikTok and Instagram showing Taylor announcing her next album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The podcast went live on August 13 and quickly went viral across social media.
New Heights’ Taylor Swift interview is Spotify’s top episode
According to Spotify’s Podcast Charts, New Heights took over the top spot of three different rankings: Top Episodes, Trending Podcasts, and the Sports subgenre.
As the top trending show, New Heights beats out The Joe Rogan Experience, Good Hang with Amy Poehler, and The Mel Robbins Podcast.
On the Sports list, the podcast beats out Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take, The Bill Simmons Podcast, and Fantasy Footballers.
Spotify isn’t the only platform New Heights has taken over with the Taylor Swift episode, either.
Over on TikTok, they amassed over 8M views with 10k comments on the singer’s reveal of her new album. It didn’t stop there, either, as they gained another 8M views with a clip of the star revealing the tracklist.
On YouTube, the video version of the show has been watched over 15M times, with many Swifties believing it could go on to break the Guinness World Record for most watched podcast episode on YouTube, which is just over 110m views.
This isn’t the first time a Kelce-led podcast has taken over the Spotify charts, either. Jason’s wife, Kylie, released ‘Not Gonna Lie’ back in 2024, and took Joe Rogan’s spot as the top show after just one episode.
