Controversial streamer Johnny Somali was reportedly facing huge new charges for one of his streams at Lotte World over child sexual harassment.

Johnny Somali’s controversial broadcasts in South Korea are really catching up with him, as the streamer now faced over 10 years in jail – with labor.

During his time in South Korea, Johnny Somali, real name Ramsey Khalid Ismael, caused drama by dancing on the Statue of Peace, harassing locals and causing chaos in businesses.

While Ismael pled guilty to Obstruction of Business for causing a mess in a 7-Eleven, he’s facing several other counts of Obstruction of Business and Deepfake charges after using AI to make it look like he was kissing Korean streamer BongBong.

However, this isn’t he only sexual crime Ismael is dealing with. On April 7, legal expert and YouTuber Legal Mindset revealed the streamer was facing even more charges for playing “vile sexual messages” in front of minors, with police heavily investigating the incident.

Johnny Somali faced ten years imprisonment with labor

During Johnny’s September 30 stream at theme park Lotte World in South Korea, Somali played text-to-speech claiming he wanted to engage in inappropriate acts with children.

While waiting in line for Go-Karts with his TTS on full blast, Somali allegedly said, “For kids? What is this? Oh yeah, let’s do it… it’s a bunch of little kids, bro.”

He was eventually kicked out by security and has since been “charged and likely indicted” in the country’s Western District.

According to Legal Mindset, this would violate South Korea’s Child Welfare Act, pointing out that it would fall under Article 17, “Committing sexual harassment against a child that may make him or her feel sexually ashamed.”

The punishment, if found guilty, would be up to ten years in jail with labor or a fine of up to 50M Won (around $34,000 USD).

On April 30, Somali revealed “all child welfare charges against me have been dropped by South Korean prosecutors.”

According to a screenshot shared by the streamer, there was insufficient evidence to move forward with the case.

However, there could be more legal consequences for the streamer who is also accused of violating anti-terrorism laws, threatening to sexually assault female streamers, drug use, violating the Railroad Act, and even spreading North Korean propaganda.
