QTCinderellaStreaming star QTCinderella has reflected on the origins of The Streamer Awards, and also revealed some of the plans she has for the future.
Streamers collaborating on big-level events has become pretty common in recent years. Yet, QTCinderella’s annual The Streamer Awards has taken things up a notch.
Speaking to Dexerto, QT revealed that the awards show came about because of another event she attended, which inspired her to bring people together. “The simple solution was an awards show, purely as a vessel of bringing as many people into one room as possible,” she said.
However, it hasn’t been without challenges. “The biggest struggle with pulling The Streamer Awards off is its size.
“I only have about 300 seats on the floor and when you have 200 nominees, plus their plus ones, obviously, it gets very tight and it gets very scary. Navigating that has been incredibly, incredibly difficult for me, but highlighting 200 people in one night is so incredibly important.”
What’s next for QT?
As for her future plans, QT has revealed that she wants to create a “PGA-style” mini-golf tournament and even bring back Girls Trip.
“I’ve got a few things that I’ve just been waiting to pull the trigger on like a mini-golf tournament that we want to elevate and do like a PGA tournament style, and that should be tons of fun,” she added.
“We’re working on a derby car race, and I’m working on potentially bringing back a rendition of Girls Trip.”
