In Elden Ring Nightreign, changing your character’s outfit, or “skin,” is a popular way to personalize your look and stand out in the world.
But unlike most RPGs, this customization option isn’t immediately available, as the option to change appearance is tied to specific progress milestones, and until you meet them, the feature remains completely hidden.
So if you’re wondering why your newly acquired outfit isn’t showing up, or how to make your character look different, we’ll walk you through unlocking the dressing room, using the Fitting Mirror, and changing your appearance step by step.
Changing appearance in Elden Ring Nightreign
You can change your skin by unlocking the Fitting Mirror in Roundtable Hold and interacting with it in the east wing, next to the fireplace.

Note: Skins are cosmetic only and do not impact gameplay stats or abilities. Each class offers multiple skin options, including Dawn, Darkness, and crossover sets from other FromSoftware games.
How to unlock the Fitting Mirror
Before you can change your appearance, though, you first need to unlock the dressing room feature:
- Complete two expeditions and defeat two Nightlords.
- After these objectives are complete, return to Roundtable Hold.
- The NPC will appear and notify you that the dressing room is now available.
This unlocks the ability to change skins through a special interface.
Fitting Mirror location

The Fitting Mirror is found in the easternmost room of the Roundtable Hold, as shown in the image above. To use it, simply interact with the mirror to open the outfit menu, where you can browse, select, and equip available skins.
How to get more skins
To get more skins, you can purchase them using Murk, which is earned by completing expeditions or selling relics.
- With your Murk in tow, visit the Small Jar Merchant in Roundtable Hold to purchase new skins.
- Once purchased, use the Fitting Mirror to equip them.
- Skins are class-specific, so available outfits depend on your chosen class.
You can also access the dressing room directly from the map menu by selecting “Change Garb” for quick outfit swaps
