After months of waiting, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will finally have a new adventure to embark on, with the release of the free Tales of Agrabah February update. New character debuts, story quests, and companions are just weeks away for DDV fans.
Following the Sew Delightful update in December, it has been relatively quiet for Disney Dreamlight Valley players. It has been a great time to wrap up new content added in The Storybook Vale and to check out Sky Islands, but many are ready to embark on their next challenge.
Thankfully, the upcoming update for DDV will debut two new characters, a companion, and a new story set in one of Disney’s most beloved settings – Agrabah.
Tales of Agrabah release date
The Disney Dreamlight Valley Tales of Agrabah free update will be released on February 26 on all platforms.
Tales of Agrabah debuts – Aladdin & Jasmine
As seen in the reveal video shared on the Disney Dreamlight Valley official YouTube channel, Aladdin and Jasmine will debut in the valley with the new update.
The extremely popular princess and “Prince Ali” need the player’s help with some unsettling occurrences that have started happening in Agrabah. This update won’t add new biomes, but it will add a door in the castle for players to open, and quests that will end in Aladdin and Jasmine joining the valley.
New companion debut – Carpet
Not only will players have the chance to befriend Jasmine and Aladdin, but the iconic Flying Carpet as well. The adorable rug can become a companion for those who earn its trust.
At this time, it isn’t known what it will require as far as snacks and goodies. Hopefully, it doesn’t have an expensive taste.
Aladdin’s gem cart comes to the valley
After years of tedious mining for top-quality gemstones, it appears there is finally going to be a way to purchase the best of the best. Aladdin’s arrival will also add a Gem Cart to the valley. Here, players can purchase Shiny gems, though they’ll likely be an expensive investment.

According to what was shown in the announcement trailer, it appears the city of Agrabah has been tormented by dangerous sandstorms.
This free update will challenge players to unravel the cause of these storms, though there has been no information on what exactly will be required for players to fix Agrabah’s weather.
While this doesn’t seem to be a large update, it will be exciting to finally welcome two very popular characters to Disney Dreamlight Valley, and see another world in the game’s iconic, cozy style.
