Diablo 4 Patch 2.1.2 should’ve fixed the busted Ring of Mendeln Unique, but players say they have yet to notice any changes after the update’s arrival.
Necromancer mains have consistently reported issues regarding the Ring of Mendeln item since the start of Season 7.
After running tests, content creators like MarcroBioBoi realized the ring doesn’t properly scale with Aspects that should boost the damage output of Necro Minions.
This resulted in weaker Necromancer builds, but players hoped all would be resolved with the rollout of Diablo 4’s Update 2.1.2 since Blizzard promised as much in the patch notes. While the update has officially gone live, Necro are still encountering trouble.
Ring of Mendeln is still bugged after Diablo 4 patch
As promised, Blizzard deployed the 2.1.2 update on February 18, complete with what should’ve been a proper fix for the broken Ring of Mendeln Unique.
According to players, however, the Necromancer-specific item still isn’t buffing the damage of Minions as intended. A Diablo 4 player on Reddit said, “[I] tested it in the training area and tbh I don’t see any changes… if anything the ‘fix’ is negligible…”
Another person in the thread chimed in to add, “I didn’t notice any difference at all.”

They’re not the only ones disappointed by the lack of improvements, either. In response to the Diablo 4 account‘s tweet about the patch on Twitter/X, several people noted the Ring of Mendeln remains bugged.
“Mendeln is not working!” reads one comment in the thread. Someone else replied, “Mendeln is STILL busted… why do you guys hate Minion Necro so much? lol.”
Notably, Season 7 wasn’t the start of D4’s problems with the Ring of Mendeln Unique. Other bugs have plagued the Unique item on and off since the game launched in June 2023. In fact, users were filing bug reports about the ring in Season 5 because certain bonuses weren’t being applied.
Blizzard hasn’t responded to the latest issue, so there’s no word on when players can expect a proper fix to go live.
