Diablo 4 developers have finally reenabled the Twilight Warding Witchcraft Power in Season 7, previously deactivated because it could kill the player character in certain instances.
Just days after the start of Season 7, the team at Blizzard temporarily disabled Twilight Warding upon learning a bug tied to the power had been killing players at random.
The Diablo 4 crew brought the power back in a hotfix less than a week later. However, some users were still encountering “niche interactions with boss powers” that could result in their characters suddenly dying. As a consequence, Blizzard had to remove Twilight Warding’s in-game functionality once again.
Now, yet another hotfix has gone live to tackle the repeatedly occurring issue. Players can only hope it will bring an end to the Witchcraft Power’s frequent fits and starts.
Diablo 4 revives Twilight Warding after repeated bugs
Hours after Patch 2.1.2‘s release on February 18, Blizzard deployed a hotfix to address the Twilight Warding glitch once and for all.
“The fix for Twilight Warding is now live, and the power’s been reenabled. Thanks everyone for your patience,” a community manager wrote on the Blizzard Forums page.
At the time of writing, players do not seem to be encountering any other glaring hiccups regarding this particular Season 7 power.

To the community’s disappointment, Twilight Warding is far from the only feature plagued by bugs in Diablo 4 Season 7.
The Decay Augmentation power similarly suffered bugs early in the seventh season, for example. Barbarian mains had trouble with the Mantle of Mountain’s Fury as well.
In addition, glitches continue to prevent the Necromancer’s Ring of Mendeln Unique from working as it should. Blizzard developers intended a fix to go live alongside the 2.1.2 update on February 18, yet players quickly realized the ring still could not buff the damage output of Minions.
