Best Diablo Immortal Monk Builds: Season 41

Monk Diablo Immortal

The Monk represents pure skill and mastery of hand-to-hand combat in the Diablo series. Here are the best Diablo Immortal Monk builds for Season 41.

While the Monk character class made its name in Diablo 3, they were originally used as a DLC class in Diablo 1’s Hellfire expansion. Now the walking fist of fury returns in Diablo Immortal, a game available on mobile platforms and PC, and looks set to end Diablo’s reign of terror one punch at a time.

The question is though, with various martial arts-based skills at their disposal, which Monk build should you choose in Diablo Immortal – and which are the most effective in Season 41?

Below we’ll reveal the best Monk builds in Diablo Immortal this Season, and how to craft them.

Is the Monk right for me?

The Monk is a master of the mystic arts and hand-to-hand combat. They have no need for huge axes, minions, and elemental magic. Instead, they trust in the power of their fists and their mastery over the spiritual forces that fuel their righteous quest.

This character class doesn’t equip heavy armor and weapons, instead, they use a range of special tools to make their firsts more deadly. Some of these tools will remind you of Wolverine from X-Men, but really the Monk’s combat style is based on punching moves used in karate, jujitsu, and taekwondo.

However, every Monk in the Diablo series is connected to a certain temple, with each creed imbuing their followers with mystic energy that they can channel directly into their fists. This makes the Monk a supremely powerful opponent in close combat – regardless of who their enemy is.

Is the Monk good this Season?

The Monk is a mixed bag in Season 41 of Diablo Immortal, scoring a C rank in PVE and an A rank in PVP.

Remember though, while they may only score a C rank this Season, this could change in the future, but even if it doesn’t, Diablo Immortal’s meta is much more consistent than games like Diablo 4.

So, all characters remain well-balanced rather than shifting wildly from season to season. Therefore, the below build is still the best one we’ve used so far.

Best Monk Diablo Immortal build

First up is the best PVE Monk build you can use in Diablo Immortal this season, the Flying Dragon build which makes use of the Fists of Thunder and, of course, Flying Dragon skill.

However, it also uses a variety of other skills. Here’s how to put the build together:

Attributes

When leveling your Monk for the Flying Dragon build, focus your points primarily on Strength and Fortitude first. Fortitude is essential to your defense and your ability to penetrate the armor of your enemies. Vitality should also be leveled significantly to make sure you can withstand damage from enemies.

Willpower will level your Potency as well as increase your Resistances, so make sure this stat gets some love too, especially once you start reaching the harder parts of the game. Intelligence is less important for this build, so you can mostly ignore it.

Skills

For the Flying Dragon build, you’ll rely on high mobility and fast-hitting combos to tear through enemies. Flying Dragon itself doesn’t unlock until level 47 and requires a specific legendary chest to use, so you’ll need a strong setup leading into it.

You’ll start with Fists of Thunder at level one. This is your primary attack and remains useful throughout the build thanks to its teleport-style targeting. Once you unlock the Lightning Flux essence, it becomes even better, adding bonus damage and keeping you stuck to targets like glue.

At level one, you’ll also have access to Cyclone Strike. This pulls enemies into range, making it perfect for grouping mobs and setting up your AoE damage.

Once you hit level eight, unlock SevenSided Strike. This gives you strong burst damage and some built-in mobility, letting you weave in and out of fights while deleting small packs or softening elites.

At level 15, you’ll be able to slot in Mystic Strike. This is a triple-dash movement skill that pulls enemies toward you on impact. It’s essential for repositioning and combos beautifully with Cyclone Strike and Seven-Sided Strike.

Finally, at level 47, Flying Dragon becomes available if you have the right legendary gear equipped. With Humbled Horizon, your attack speed gets a significant boost, turning Flying Dragon into a flurry of rapid, sweeping strikes that cut down grouped enemies before they can react.

While Flying Dragon is on cooldown, use Mystic Strike to dash through enemies, pull them in with Cyclone Strike, then follow up with Seven-Sided Strike to keep the pressure on. The build is all about momentum, and once it’s online, it doesn’t stop.

Gear

The gear you use can have a very positive impact on your Monk’s skills, so you should seek out and equip the following gear.

  • Head: Numb Realization
  • Shoulders: Discipline’s Weight
  • Chest: Discipline’s Weight
  • Legs: Path of the Storm
  • Main Weapon: Spirit’s Reach
  • Off hand: Eye of the Storm
  • Set: Vithu’s Grace

This will buff your Flying Dragon Palm attack and other vital skills for this build.

Diablo Immortal PVP Monk build

If you’re choosing a Monk to brutalize other Diablo Immortal players in PVP, then we’d recommend the Cyclone Helicopter build. This setup focuses on sustained pressure and defensive uptime, letting you dive into enemy teams, spin them into chaos, and survive long enough to clean up.

For this build, you’ll want to center your kit around Cyclone Strike for crowd control and Shield of Zen for stun protection and burst denial. Pair these with Fists of Thunder enhanced by Lightning Flux for fast, gap-closing damage that keeps pressure on slippery opponents. Unlike burst setups, this build rewards constant movement and durability.

This, combined with high armor, cooldown reduction, and well-timed dashes, creates a loop of pull, protect, and punish. It’s not about flashy one-shots

As far as PVP gear goes, switch out the above for the following (keep the rest):

  • Head: Crippling Insight
  • Shoulders: Discipline’s Weight
  • Chest: Discipline’s Weight
  • Legs: Path of the Storm
  • Off Hand: Eye of the Storm
  • Main Hand: Dragon’s Indignation
  • Set: Issatar Imbued
