Top 10 rarest Emblems in Destiny 2 (March 2025)

destiny 2 rarest emblems

Hunting for the best loot Glimmer can’t buy isn’t the only endgame in Destiny 2 – character and profile customization are a major component of Bungie’s looter shooter.

While they serve no functional purpose, Emblems, along with Shaders, are one of the primary means of making your Guardian unique and are the first thing other players will notice when joining your Fireteam.

Emblems can be unlocked and earned through a multitude of methods, including free promo codes, completing tough in-game challenges and participating in various competitions and campaigns run by Bungie.

That being the case, some Emblems are naturally rarer than others and we’ve compiled a list of the ten Emblems owned by the fewest Guardians. Note that the list below does not include any Emblems for which the parameters for unlocking them is unknown.

10. Symposium Shield

  • Obtained from: Given to community moderators on the Bungie forums.
  • Number owned: 47

The first of several Emblems obtainable via similar means, Symposium Shield has been registered by just 47 players and was distributed to members of the community moderator team on Bungie’s official forums. The Emblem depicts a Ghost set against a light and dark background, representing the player Guardian’s ability to tap into powers associated with both.

9. The Hidden Edge

  • Obtained from: Given to Bungie Forum Ninjas (moderators) during Destiny 2 Year 4.
  • Number owned: 46

As described by Bungie, so-called Forum Ninjas “work in the shadows” as volunteer moderators on the developer’s forums, weeding out “bad actors” that break the rules. How this role differs from a standard moderator isn’t clear but the role is clearly attributable to a small team, with only 46 players claiming ownership of The Hidden Edge.

8. Vigilant Console

  • Obtained from: Given to Bungie forum moderators prior to Destiny 2 Year 3.
  • Number owned: 43

Retired after Destiny 2 Year 3, Vigilant Console, like the two Emblems before it, could only be obtained by Bungie forum moderators.

6. Artifacting Signal

  • Obtained from: Given to winners of This Week In Destiny’s Movie of the Week competition during Episode Heresy
  • Number owned: 24

Bungie regularly promotes community-created content in its This Week in Destiny blog posts, including Destiny 2-themed videos. These can vary wildly in tone and theme, with the winner of each contest usually being recognized with an in-game cosmetic reward.

Throughout Episode Heresy, any participant recognised as a winner for their video directorial and video editing skills will receive the Artifacting Signal Emblem.

You can learn how to submit your own creation on Bungie’s support page.

5. Venae Cavae

  • Obtained from: Given to players who raised a lifetime total of $50,000 or more during Bungie Foundation fundraisers.
  • Number owned: 19

Founded in 2010, the Bungie Foundation is a non-profit organization aimed at helping those in need through the medium of entertainment.

Bungie regularly runs campaigns encouraging Destiny 2 players to get involved to help raise funds for a good cause, with any player who helps to raise – not donate themselves – certain amounts recognised with an in-game Emblem. Venae Cavae is owned by 19 players, all of which have raised $50,000 or more for the charity.

4. Wish Ascended

  • Obtained from: Reward for completing Forsaken’s Last Wish Raid in the first 24 hours of release.
  • Number owned: 12

Released in 2018, Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion marked the first instance of Bungie running a Contest Mode for its newest endgame content.

Boasting tighter enrage timers and tougher enemies, any player who was able to complete the entire Last Wish Raid on Contest Mode added in Forsaken had their skills recognized with the Wish Ascended Emblem. Just three four-person Fireteams were able to beat the challenge.

3. Cordula

  • Obtained from: Given to players who raised a lifetime total of $100,000 or more during Bungie Foundation fundraisers.
  • Number owned: 9

Similar to Venae Cavae, Cordula has, to date, been awarded to nine Guardians for their charity endeavours, helping to raise $100,000 or more for the Bungie Foundation.

2. Humanity’s Chosen

  • Obtained from: Awarded to players recognised as positive members of the community.
  • Number owned: 3

Based on Bungie’s own description in its 2022 This Week at Bungie post, Humanity’s Chosen was awarded to any player recognized for being kind “for no other reason than it’s the right thing to do.” Beyond that, no prerequisites for earning Humanity’s Chosen have ever been specified by Bungie and to date, just three players have received the honor.

1. Fly Together

  • Obtained from: Distributed as part of the Make-A-Wish foundation.
  • Number owned: 1

The rarest of rare, just one Guardian across Destiny 2’s entire player base can claim rightful ownership of Fly Together. The Emblem was awarded to an anonymous individual as part of a collaboration between Bungie and the Make-A-Wish foundation.

As of March 2025, the above represents the rarest Emblems owned by players and we’ll update this list as and when newcomers enter the scene. In the meantime, check out the rarest Shaders in Destiny 2 as well as all of the best PvE and PvP weapons you should be hunting for in Episode Heresy.
