Destiny 2’s Eververse Team vows to bring back missing Warlock cosmetic feature

Destiny 2’s Warlock players can look forward to the return of a cosmetic feature; plus, the Eververse Team has a few more plans up its sleeve.

The Destiny 2 x PlayStation crossover in 2023 featured a Ghost of Tsushima-inspired Ancestral Bond class item for Warlocks. D2 players quickly realized that using the GoT item with certain shaders turned their Warlock Bonds invisible.

This visual bug was one that many could appreciate since it provided a sleeker look for those who did not want their Warlock’s armor to show the equipped class item.

To the chagrin of some fans, Bungie unceremoniously removed the glitch in 2024. The studio aims to set things right in an upcoming update, though.

Invisible Warlock Bond is coming to Destiny 2’s Eververse

In a social media post, the Destiny 2 Team announced that the crew behind the Eververse has a few noteworthy “fashion-forward changes” in the works.

Most notably, the Invisible Warlock Bond will be reinstated as a feature instead of a glitch. Exactly how this will work in practice presently remains a mystery.

Bungie further confirmed that Hoods will return for Stasis Drake Hunters and the Stoicism Ornament will have Cloth options. The development crew plans to share more concrete details with fans when sharing its next TWID post on Thursday, March 20.

While the community is generally celebrating these upcoming adjustments, some wish Bungie would take an extra step further.

For instance, several people have asked why the team won’t just let Hunters toggle their hoods on or off at their leisure.
