CDL Major 1 Grand Finals recap
The Grand Finals was one for the CoD history books as OpTic Texas and Atlanta FaZe delivered a great show. OpTic drew first blood behind a monster game from iLLeY and Shotzzy. FaZe would respond to take the Search and Destroy in a 6-5 ninja defuse.
Map 3 caused some chaos as OpTic held an incredible Round 5, but due to a PC issue for Arcitys, they replayed the final round. In the end, OpTic took the last laugh to go up 2-1.
OpTic would take two of the next three maps to go up 4-2, with three chances at a championship. Berlin wasn’t friendly to OpTic during the qualifiers, but it proved to be home turf for the Greenwall. Scump and tournament MVP Dashy led the way as OpTic took home Major 1 and their first championship in 1,183 days.
