New York Subliners complete CDL Major 5 Losers Bracket run with huge victory

New York lost its opening match of CDL Major Major 5, but with its tournament life on the line, the Subliners rattled off five straight series victories before ultimately taking down Atlanta FaZe in the Grand Final.

In Toronto, New York became the first CDL team to win two Major tournaments in Modern Warfare 2. The Subliners opened the season by winning Major 1 and followed that up by winning the final event before Championship weekend.

Paco ‘HyDra‘ Rusiewiez elevated his game to a new level on championship Sunday. The French Phenom won the Major 5 MVP with a 1.30 total KD and 1.74 KD in S&D. FaZe entered Major 5 as the best Search and Destroy team in the league, but New York took all three S&D maps in the Grand Final against Atlanta.

New York sets its sights next on COD Champs with momentum at its side. The Subliners are set to face off against Minnesota in the tournament’s first round.
