The Reckoning Easter egg is live, finally bringing the Black Ops 6 Zombies story to an end. But it’s not easy to make it to the end.
It’s more involved than previous releases like the Tomb or Shattered Veil, with layered objectives and secret events that are incredibly tough to spot if you don’t know where to look. Plus, it’s significantly longer, clocking in at well over eight hours to beat.
If you want to finish what started on Terminus, this guide will walk you through each step from start to finish.

Activate the Pack-a-Punch
The first thing you’ll want to do is activate the Pack-a-Punch machine.
You can follow the objective markers, but we recommend opening up most doors around Project Janus HQ first so you’re not scrambling later.
Unlock the elevator from the Executive Office and descend to Sublevel 10. Here, power up the Particle Accelerator system, then locate and destroy all twelve Aetherium shards nearby. Doing this triggers the Pack-a-Punch to appear.
Get the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon
If you want a full breakdown of how to get the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon and its upgrades, be sure to check out our in-depth guide. Otherwise, here’s a quick step-by-step breakdown:
- Go to the Mutant Research Lab and check both static monitors. Note the capital letters in the words and form an element.
- Use the periodic table to find the element’s 3-digit atomic number. If the number is only two digits, add a zero to the front.
- Enter the code into the keypad in the Mutant Research Test Area. This opens the Bioweapons Lab.
- Fill the cyst inside with Vermin kills. Then, take the filled cyst to the Quantum Computing Core and charge it with yellow spores.
- Bring the charged cyst to Dark Entity Containment and start the power surge.
- Activate all four surge panels to spawn an Uber Klaus.
- Destroy its shoulder pads and lure it to the panel. Wait for the Forsaken transfer, then kill Uber Klaus.

Inside the T1 Research Lab, examine two monitors: one near the periodic chart and one by the Mangler. Each displays a highlighted capital letter. These letters hint at a chemical element.
Match it to its atomic number using the chart, pad it with a zero if needed, and enter the resulting code in the nearby keypad to unlock the Bioweapons Lab.
Inside, you’ll find a cyst that charges with nearby Vermin kills. Once full, take it to the Quantum Core and interact with yellow spores to energize it.
Then proceed to Dark Entity Containment, trigger a surge, and activate four nearby terminals to summon Uber Klaus. Disable its shields by targeting the shoulders, lead it to the panel, and wait for a transfer before taking it out to claim the Gorgofex.
Open secret teleporter
Now it’s time to get started with the main story. Head to the T1 Mutant Research Lab and interact with the centrifuge.
- Grab the Syringe, then make your way to T2 Sublevel 10. There’s a floating zombie caught in the Particle Accelerator beam.
- Jump into the beam to knock it loose, then interact with it to collect the Blood.
- Return to the centrifuge and place the Syringe back in. A Fowler Mangler will spawn.
- Defeat it to get a Mutant Injection, which you’ll need to scan near the Dark Entity Containment zone to gain access to the next lab area.

Franken Klaus puzzle
One section revolves around building Franken Klaus.
- Collect body parts from Kommando Klaus units by shooting off each arm.
- Scavenge the left and right legs in T2 Android Assembly. These can spawn:
- Behind a door
- On a shelf
- In a scrap pile
- Behind a shattered mirror
- On the floor
- Once you have all four limbs, attach them to the hanging Klaus in T2 Android Assembly.
- Then, lure Uber Klaus to the same area and bait its electric attack to strike the hanging body. That will activate Franken Klaus.
- Franken Klaus will first hack the computer in the T2 Teleportation Lab, then a S.A.M. Trial machine, before returning to the Teleportation Lab.
- Go to the T1 Quantum Computing Core and break the metal container using a melee attack with Melee Macchiato.
- Carefully deliver the purple brain (you’ll be defenseless while carrying it) to the machine beside Franken Klaus to continue.

Find computer code
The next step is to find a code for the computer inside the T2 Teleportation Lab once Klaus is in there.
Scattered across the map are six possible personal items tied to Maxis, each linked to a folder with a different date. Only four appear per match, but we’ve found six folders so far:
- Katana on a desk in T1 Executive Suite
- Wristwatch on a table in T1 Executive Suite
- Combat Goggles near a lamp in T1 Director’s Office
- BND Badge on a desk in T2 Teleportation Lab or a coffee table in T1 Executive Suite
- Notso’s Collar on a desk in T2 Teleportation Lab or a coffee table in T1 Director’s Office
- Scarf on a desk in T1 Director’s Office
Each Maxis item has a number attached to it that changes every game. Using the date on each folder, sort the item numbers in reverse chronological order (from latest to earliest) to form a 4-digit code. Enter this code into the PC in the T2 Teleportation Lab.
Break the teleporter crystals
Once all of this is in place, you need to get the teleporter ready by breaking the crystals blocking it. To do this, head back to the Pack-a-Punch room and complete the following steps:
- Activate the same computer terminal you used at the start.
- This should turn the beam red.
- Blue Vermin will begin to spawn in the room, so kill as many as possible.
- Once you’ve killed enough, a blue orb will spawn in the Pack-a-Punch room.
- Collect it to turn the Wonder Weapon blue.
- Head back to the T2 Teleportation Lab.
- Fire a charge shot at crystals to break them.

Get the Zombie Head & cleanse it
The next step of The Reckoning Easter egg is easy to miss and has been giving much of the community trouble, but it’s fairly straightforward once you know:
- First, head back to the room you spawned in.
- Find the yellow mop bucket and melee it until it’s underneath the sprinkler system.
- While the bucket fills up, go to the T1 Quantum Computing Core.
- Look for a gap in the wall high up above you, marked by a white light.
- Fire a charge shot from the Gorgofex into the gap.
- This drops a Zombie Head to the ground. Go and pick it up.
- Take the head back to the bucket and drop it in.
- This cleanses it and turns it into a Soul Box.
- Get kills to charge it.
- Once charged, take it back to the T2 Teleportation Lab.
- Place it in the teleporter.

Power up the teleporter & start the lockdown
The final preparation objective requires you to power up the teleporter and lock down the facility.
- Head back to Tower 1.
- In blue boxes on the ground, you’ll be able to pick up a Vacuum Seal Device.
- As soon as you pick one up, objects around the room will start to float and glow purple.
- Throw the device to capture them, just like catching a Pokemon.
- Do this for four Vacuum Seal Devices.
- Go back to the T2 Teleportation Lab.
- Insert the devices into the console in the middle of the room.
- Once the teleporter is powered up, five switches around the room will turn red one at a time.
- Interact with the red switches to turn them green.
- Do this for all five, and the lockdown will end.
Now, you’re finally ready to take on the final boss encounter. Make sure you’re stocked up on ammo and items, and when you’re ready, interact with the teleporter to begin.
Final boss: Who to choose?
As you might expect, Reckoning’s final boss isn’t as simple as just running in and gunning down a large enemy, as you need to do a little work to get there. You’ll find yourself in a room with an elevator that you have to use to reach the roof
Unlike most other Zombies Easter eggs, players actually get to decide which boss they want to fight at the end. You have the option of siding with S.A.M. or Richtofen, and whoever you choose when you reach the elevator, you’ll fight the other character.
Both fights are pretty tough overall, but S.A.M. is by far the easier of the two. So, if you want to make life more straightforward for yourself, side with Richtofen when the choice comes.

Ground floor
On the first floor, there are three Aether Canisters that need to be filled up. All you have to do is interact with each one and start getting kills to charge them.
Once all three are done, head back to the elevator and move on to the next floor.
First floor
The next floor should be fairly straightforward, as all you have to do is keep shooting the purple crystals whenever they appear. Once you’ve destroyed enough, the elevator will be ready to move once again.
Roof (boss fight)
Finally, the elevator brings you to the roof, where the final battle takes place. Depending on which character you picked, the other one will appear and begin attacking you.
If you’re taking on S.A.M., you can only damage her when she’s attacking or when the glowing red orbs appear on her. Shoot these to deal big damage.
If you decide to square off with Uber Richtofen, then you can damage him virtually all the time, apart from specific sequences when he’s flying away, but he has far more attacks to worry about. Not only does he place traps and spawn a number of Uber Klaus to catch you out, but he also has punches that go through armor and can drop you in a couple of hits.
For both fights, the best tactic is to stay on the move and keep your distance, all while whittling down their health whenever you get a window. Don’t ignore the regular enemies, though, as they can easily overwhelm you, and they drop valuable armor.
Once you’ve depleted their health, the Easter egg is over, you’ve completed the Reckoning, and the entire Black Ops 6 Zombies story. All that’s left to do is watch the final cutscene and probably go for a lie down.
