Dr Disrespect “surprised” by Warzone & Verdansk return success but has one big worry

Dr Disrespect

Streamer Dr Disrespect has revealed he is “surprised” by how good Verdansk’s return to Warzone in Black Ops 6 has been, and is crediting a few big things.

For the last few years, Warzone players have been begging to return to the glory days of Verdansk. They want to be back in a time where cheaters weren’t so prominent and the map felt perfect for a battle royale.

Despite rumors of it returning at the start of the Black Ops 6 cycle, the original Warzone map returned in Season 3. And it has already gotten off to a pretty solid start.

The player count has soared, some fans have proclaimed that the original feel of the battle royale is back, and things look to be in a good place.

Dr Disrespect pleased by Warzone and Verdansk again

Dr Disrespect, who has dipped in and out of Warzone at times, has also been “surprised” by how good the game is feeling again.

“The game feels good. Hit reg is interesting, I kind of like it so far, it feels clean. The TTK is noticeably faster, which is nice,” he said during a recent stream. “It’s nice for mouse and keyboard, it is.

“It is a surprise that its working, which is kind of crazy to think about. That is something to get excited about, that it’s a surprise that everything is going smoothly in a AAA title. I think the solo experiences could be fun, it is really barebones for the team aspect, but it feels vintage.”

The Two-Time added that it is “kind of weird” how much it feels like the old days of Warzone. “It’s got the same vibe as it did before,” he said.

His big knock on things? The audio in team modes and just how long the honeymoon period will last.

“It (the engine) doesn’t know how to prioritize. It can’t handle multiple sound effects happening at once on one players screen,” he said. “But solo, I thought it was incredibly sounding. In solo it is nice and clear, it is crisp. Instead of thinking about how long this will last, it is here now, lets enjoy it.”

The YouTube streamer also questioned just how much it will be “supported” moving forward by the devs.
