The new Ladra has emerged as a meta SMG in Black Ops 6, but you’ll need the best loadout, attachments, and Perks to melt enemies consistently.
Black Ops 6 Season 3 Reloaded has arrived, bringing a host of new content to multiplayer, from fresh maps to a host of Seth Rogen skins. On top of all that, it also comes with some deadly new weapons to use, including the Ladra.
This lightweight SMG is essentially the Spectre from the original Black Ops, coming with relatively low damage but a ferocious fire rate. So, here’s how to get the most out of it with the meta build.
Meta Black Ops 6 Ladra build
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag II
- Fire Mods: Recoil Springs

The Ladra has a naturally rapid TTK if you land all of your shots, so our loadout is all about keeping it on target. To kick things off, the Compensator offers a major reduction in vertical recoil, while the Vertical Foregrip does the same for the horizontal recoil, making it extremely accurate at close-mid ranges.
Then, you can add Recoil Springs to all but completely remove visual recoil, so that the SMG barely moves even during sustained fire. We’ve also gone for the Reinforced Barrel to buff the range and bullet velocity, just to make it more competitive on more medium-sized maps.
Finally, the Ladra’s fire rate chews through ammo quickly, so equip Extended Mag II to ensure you’re not having to stop and reload after every kill. This does come with a hefty ADS penalty, so you could switch to Extended Mag I, but it gives you just 45 bullets instead of 56.
Best Ladra Perks & Equipment
- Perk 1: Ninja
- Perk 2: Hunter’s Instinct
- Perk 3: Slipstream
- Wildcard: High Roller
- Lethal: Frag
- Tactical: Flashbang
- Field Upgrade: Trophy System

The best loadout isn’t complete without Perks, and Ninja is the perfect place to start if you like to get the drop on enemies without them hearing you. This pairs well with Hunter’s Instinct, which shows the direction of the nearest enemy after a kill, helping you keep the streak going.
Splipstream is also a great option, as it completely removes Tactical Sprint and buffs your base sprint speed, making the act of getting around the map much smoother. Then, we’ve gone for the High Roller Wildcard to give you an additional Killstreak.
When it comes to Equipment, you can’t beat the classic Frag for quick kills, while Flashbangs are great for blinding an enemy before you pick them off. Finally, a Trophy System is perfect for blocking explosives while you hold an objective.

Is the Ladra meta in BO6?
The Ladra may be new, but it’s already become a meta SMG in Black Ops 6. Its fast fire rate and relatively low recoil, once you apply the right attachments, give it an incredible TTK that’s easily achievable.
It may lack the range of a Tanto or Jackal PDW, but on multiplayer’s small to mid-sized maps, it’s a force to be reckoned with. If you’re looking to run and gun, or a sniper support, you can’t go wrong with the Ladra.
How to unlock
The Ladra is unlocked by completing the High Art event. All you have to do is play matches and earn XP to unlock rewards, and once you get them all, the new SMG is all yours.
The event runs until May 15, so you’ll have to be quick. But if you miss out, don’t worry, as soon as High Art ends, it’ll be added as an Armory unlock.
Best alternatives
If you’re looking for something that feels similar to the Ladra, the KSV is another fast-firing SMG that’s lethal at close range. However, if you prefer a submachine gun with a little more versatility, the C9 doesn’t kill quite as quickly but makes it for it with superior range.
