Best Black Ops 6 Ranked Play loadouts in Season 5

black ops 6 ranked play operators in season 4

The Black Ops 6 Ranked Play grind continues in Season 5, so you’ll need the best weapons and ranked loadouts to climb the divisions.

If you haven’t unlocked Ranked Play in Season 5, you must first win 50 matches in standard multiplayer playlists, and if you haven’t played in a while, you may need to win 10 matches. After that, the grind is similar to other titles. You earn Skill Rating by winning and performing well, which helps you progress through eight Skill Divisions.

Various buffs, nerfs, and gameplay changes have shaken up the meta, and there are new rewards to earn, so these are the best Black Ops 6 Ranked Play loadouts.

Best BO6 Ranked Play loadouts

ARs

The AMES 85 and GPR 91 are the only AR options, and the AMES 85 should be your go-to. It kills slightly faster, and its better bullet velocity and fire rate make it a better overall option.

Despite that, we included loadouts for both ARs if you have a different personal preference.

Best AMES 85 class

meta ames 85 loadout in black ops 6 ranked play
  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Ported Compensator
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Stock: Balanced Stock (Gunfighter)
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs (Gunfighter)

Some players prefer the Accu-Spot Reflex, but we believe the Kepler Microflex provides a cleaner line of sight and is less intrusive on the screen.

The AMES 85 is already accurate, but you will get punished in Ranked Play if you miss any shots when going up against the best of the best. So, with that in mind, the Ported Compensator addresses horizontal recoil, while the Vertical Foregrip mitigates vertical recoil. Then, the Reinforced Barrel is perfect as it increases damage range and bullet velocity.

Learning to utilize omnimovement will set you apart from other players because you can slide and dive out of gunfights and outmaneuver enemies. So, we recommend using the Ergonomic Grip as it improves slide, dive-to-fire, and aim-down-sight speeds.

You can equip two extra attachments using the Gunfight Wild Card instead of Perk Greed. With those extra slots, we equipped a Balanced Stock to increase overall mobility and strafing speed and Recoil Springs to improve horizontal and vertical recoil.

Best GPR 91 class

  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip (Gunfighter)
  • Stock: Balanced Stock (Gunfighter)

The GPR 91 lacks the power of the AMES 85, but makes up for it with a rapid fire rate. With this in mind, our best loadout is all about keeping it on target with the help of the Compensator Muzzle and Recoil Springs.

Then, the Reinforced Barrel buffs the bullet velocity, making it more viable over longer distances and finally, the Ergonomic Grip improves the ARs speed, making it feel light and snappy to use.

If you want to equip Gunfighter for a couple of extra attachments, the Recoil Springs will make it even more accurate, and the Balanced Stock will make it more mobile.

SMGs

Best Jackal PDW class

meta jackal pdw loadout in black ops 6 ranked play
  • Barrel: Gain-Twist Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Stock: Infiltrator Stock
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs

With the C9 being removed from Black Ops 6 Ranked Play, the Jackal PDW is the number one option in Season 5.

The Gain-Twist Barrel is the only Barrel option available, but it’s still worth using as its bullet velocity buff will increase its range. It’s still pretty easy to use, so the added mobility from the Ranger Foregrip is still worth it. But if you find it a little bit too difficult to control, the Vertical Foregrip is another solid option.

The Ergonomic Grip and Infiltrator Stock make the Jackal extremely mobile, letting you shoot quicker after moving and enabling you to quickly strafe when firing. Finally, the Recoil Springs make it a little bit easier to shoot.

Pistols

Stryder .22

  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Magazine: Fast Mag II
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip

The Stryder .22 is the only handgun available in Black Ops 6 Ranked Play, and since you can only equip three attachments, you should put them all on. While using Fast Mag II will give you fewer bullets in the mag, you’ll be much more mobile, and the 20 it allows for is still an incredible amount.

The pistol only truly shines with someone with a good trigger finger, but it’ll help you out in a pinch, especially after it received a small buff in the Season 5 update.

Best Perks and equipment in BO6 Ranked Play

  • Perk 1: Flak Jacket or Ninja
  • Perk 2: Fast Hands
  • Perk 3: Double Time
  • Wildcard: Perk Greed
  • Perk Greed: Ninja or Dexterity
  • Melee: Knife
  • Lethal: Frag
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System

Ninja is a good choice for Search and Destroy because it reduces footsteps noise – just be aware of spawn nades. For Hardpoint and Control, however, Flak Jacket is a great choice for taking less damage from explosives.

The only Perk 2 option available is Fast Hands. Despite the lack of options, this Perk is still helpful as it increases weapon swap speed.

Like Perk 2, you would be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t use Double Time in their Perk 3 slot. It increases the tactical sprint duration and the recharge rate, making it easier to escape gunfights, rotate, or get to a bomb site.

Perk Greed is the best Wildcard. We used that extra Perk slot on Dexterity to reduce weapon motion while diving, sliding, and jumping. However, Gunfighter can also be worthwhile if you’d like a few more attachments on your guns.

For the lethal equipment, Frag Grenades or Semtex Grenades are both viable choices. Flashbangs have been restricted, so you’ll need to use a Stun Grenade.

Last up, the Trophy System is the only available Field Upgrade. If you don’t equip Flak Jacket, it’s a good way to deflect grenade spam.

Now that you know the weapons to use, make sure you also lock in the best controller, audio, and PC settings for Black Ops 6. If you want to try a different game mode, check out the best BO6 multiplayer and Warzone loadouts.

Black Ops 7 is up next, and a dev has said that if you’re a fan of Black Ops 2, you’ll “have a good time” with BO7.
